HR Operations

• Facilitate programs and events that build stronger connections and teamwork among staff • Drive efforts to boost team member satisfaction and involvement across distributed and in-person workforces • Manage and facilitate new hire orientation processes • Guide recruitment efforts from candidate sourcing to final hiring decisions • Collaborate with department heads to determine hiring needs and craft role specifications • Facilitate benefit enrollment activities and support payroll functions • Process and manage various leave requests (FMLA, ADA, Workers' Comp) • Act as the go-to resource for staff questions regarding benefit offerings and troubleshoot concerns • Propose and execute policy revisions to maintain regulatory adherence • Oversee seasonal workforce visa programs including J1 and H2B processing • Monitor and apply evolving employment regulations at federal, state, and municipal levels (particularly NY and CA) • Keep personnel files, documentation, and records organized and compliant • Deliver practical HR support to operational teams in multiple states while ensuring uniform policy execution • Assess termination decisions and advise on corrective action protocols • Address workplace concerns and clarify organizational policies • Support supervisors with coaching, performance improvement, and staff development efforts • Lead sensitive workplace inquiries with professionalism and impartiality • Create sustainable HR structures to accommodate organizational expansion • Enhance HR workflows to boost responsiveness and communication effectiveness • Establish and document policies and standard procedures ahead of peak seasons • Support rollout and enhancement of ADP Workforce Now platform across HR activities

Job Requirements

  • Excels in remote settings - highly autonomous, well-organized, and effective when working independently
  • Demonstrated capability in performance management including analytics, evaluations, and growth planning
  • Proven track record conducting objective, comprehensive workplace inquiries
  • Hands-on experience with J1 and H2B visa procedures
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (both written and verbal) - essential for supporting our diverse team
  • Background managing HR across multiple states with solid understanding of New York and California employment regulations
  • Prior experience in hospitality settings (restaurants, bars, entertainment venues)
  • Minimum 5 years comprehensive HR experience covering employee relations, regulatory compliance, and policy management
  • Competency with Microsoft Office applications and human resources information systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred (or comparable professional experience)
