Role Description Quorum is looking to hire a Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team whose responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: - Budgeting analysis - Sales and corporate taxes - FP&A - Core accounting - Covenant analysis - Financial reporting The Financial Analyst will be guided in actions by solid business instincts, strong ethics, and sound business judgment that come from experience. The successful candidate will: - Quickly establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships within the department and at all levels of the organization - Bring sound technical accounting and finance skills to this role - Reliably deal with conflicting priorities and roadblocks - Exhibit superior problem-solving skills Here is what we will expect from you at work: - Complete month end, quarter end, and year end procedures to ensure all accounting entries posted properly, including preparing working papers for General Ledgers accounts - Prepare and maintain continuity schedules for balance sheet accounts - Prepare monthly variance analysis and B2A reports - Prepare monthly financial reporting packs - Prepare monthly and quarter covenant reporting packs - Prepare quarterly financial statements and reports - Review some workbooks of junior team members; provide guidance and mentorship as required - Ensure compliance with Sales Taxes, Corporate Taxes, and Deferred Taxes, including reporting and filing - Be the key point of contact for annual audit and for annual corporate tax filing - Assist Senior Director of Finance with ad-hoc projects - Other duties as assigned Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; professional accounting designation considered an asset - 3-5 years relevant and progressive work experience in financial and/or cost accounting - Experience with IFRS is considered an asset - A talent for efficiently handling tight deadlines - Experience combining data from multiple sources - Strong analytical and reconciliation skills; detail oriented and highly accurate - Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Requirements - Criminal background check required
