Role Description We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong HVAC design experience to support the delivery of residential and commercial building projects. The role will focus on end-to-end mechanical HVAC design work, including system design, documentation, and coordination with construction teams to ensure accurate and buildable project outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare HVAC mechanical designs and system layouts for heating, cooling, and ventilation systems - Develop detailed duct layouts, duct plans, and coordinated shop drawings for construction - Produce and review mechanical construction documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements - Perform HVAC load calculations and support system sizing and design validation - Assist in project coordination with internal teams, consultants, and site personnel - Support estimating activities and prepare technical documentation for project delivery - Ensure all mechanical designs align with construction feasibility and project timelines Qualifications - Proven experience in HVAC mechanical design, including heating, cooling, and ventilation systems - Strong capability in duct design, duct layout planning, and shop drawing production - Experience with HVAC load calculations and mechanical system sizing - Familiarity with mechanical construction documentation and coordination processes - Knowledge of Australian Standards and Building Codes (preferred) - Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in technical drafting and documentation - Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with project teams - Strong communication skills and proactive approach to problem-solving Requirements - Looking for Philippines-based candidates - Compensation range: $2,000 AUD - $2,500 AUD / Monthly - Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement - Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 7 AM - 4 PM AEST, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
