Payment Product Manager – Clearing & Settlement

• Responsible for the product design and iteration of the company's payment middle platform, order system, and clearing module in Europe and Latin America, serving as the main person in charge of the company's core payment infrastructure product line. • Drive the product development roadmap, and execution for the global fiat payment platform, focusing on backend capabilities. • Lead the design of the full lifecycle management system for orders: order creation, status transition, timeout handling, and reconciliation closed loop. • Design the clearing system: T+0/T+1 settlement schemes, multi-currency reconciliation rules, error handling, and fund verification. • Recommend integration strategy for global payment channels (PSPs, bank rails, local payment methods), ensuring scalable and standardized integration frameworks. • Build and optimize core system modules, including transaction lifecycle management, success rate optimization, latency reduction, and failure handling. • Partner with engineering, risk, compliance, and finance teams to design robust systems for settlement, reconciliation, and fund flow management. • Drive platform-level improvements to support global scalability, including multi-region architecture, localization frameworks, and system abstraction. • Define and monitor key system metrics (e.g., success rate, latency, reliability), and drive continuous optimization through data and experimentation. • Collaborate with internal product teams (e.g., wallet, account, growth infrastructure) to ensure seamless integration of payment capabilities across the ecosystem. • Act as a strong individual contributor, proactively identifying system gaps and driving end-to-end execution in a complex environment.
Job Requirements
- 6–10+ years of product management experience, preferably in payments, fintech, or platform/infrastructure products.
- Strong experience in payment systems such as payment orchestration, transaction platforms, or cashier/back-end payment systems.
- Deep understanding of payment lifecycle, including routing, retries, success rate optimization, and failure handling.
- Familiarity with backend system design and APIs; comfortable working closely with engineering teams on system architecture.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience using metrics to guide product decisions.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in a global or multi-region environment.
- Strong ownership, structured thinking, and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
