Build in a weekend. Scale to millions.

Full TimeRemoteMid LevelTeam 51-200Since 2020H1B No Sponsor

Role Description We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to support our CEO as Supabase continues to scale globally. This person will be a trusted partner to the CEO, helping manage time, communication, priorities, travel, follow-through, and key operating rhythms across a fast-moving, remote-first company. This role must be based in an APJ / APAC timezone to provide strong timezone coverage for our CEO and leadership team. You’ll work closely with founders, executives, internal stakeholders, investors, and external partners, ensuring the CEO is prepared, focused, and able to spend time on the highest-impact work. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments, has strong judgment, and is excited about supporting a developer-focused company building tools that scale to millions. Responsibilities - Own the CEO’s calendar management, prioritization, and day-to-day operating rhythm. - Manage inbox triage and communications by monitoring emails, drafting responses, and keeping communication flowing across internal and external stakeholders. - Prepare briefings, agendas, decks, notes, and follow-up materials so the CEO is ready for every meeting. - Track follow-ups, decisions, and commitments to help projects move forward and keep stakeholders accountable. - Coordinate seamless domestic and international travel, logistics, scheduling changes, and last-minute adjustments. - Support investor meetings, board-related preparation, executive meetings, offsites, and company-wide moments. - Handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion, professionalism, and integrity. - Anticipate needs, identify blockers early, and solve problems proactively before they escalate. - Partner across the company to create clarity, improve coordination, and help leadership operate effectively in a global, remote-first environment. Qualifications - Experience supporting a CEO, founder, or senior executive in a startup or scale-up environment. - Based in an APJ / APAC timezone and can provide strong coverage for a globally distributed leadership team. - Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, with excellent written and verbal communication. - Experience working in async, remote-first, or globally distributed teams. - Tech savvy and comfortable using tools like Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, and AI-enabled workflows. - Strong judgment around prioritization, confidentiality, stakeholder management, and executive communication. - Energized by organized chaos, fast-moving priorities, and solving problems before they become blockers. - Comfortable navigating ambiguity, moving quickly, and staying several steps ahead. Benefits - Fully Remote: We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world. - ESOP: Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together. - Tech Allowance: Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work. - Health Benefits: Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are. Your wellbeing and your family’s health are important to us. - Annual Off-Sites: Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year. - Flexible Work: We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when. - Professional Development: Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth.

• Own data from source to delivery. Design ingestion from source systems into BigQuery with Airflow (Cloud Composer), Dataflow, and Python loaders; model it in dbt; and deliver the analysis in Hex. No handoffs, no "that's not my layer." • Build for 10x. We're growing fast, and the data is growing with us. Every pipeline and model you ship should survive the volume multiplying in the next few months. Reliability, cost, and partition strategy are part of the design, not an afterthought. • Explain what's driving the numbers. When a metric moves, you find out why. You can trace a number from a Hex dashboard back through the dbt models to the raw source and tell the business what actually pushed it up or down. • Work AI-first, and own the output. You lean hard on modern AI tooling (coding agents, LLMs) to move faster across the whole stack, but you stay accountable for what lands in production. You know the difference between letting AI draft and letting AI decide, and you keep correctness, cost, and ownership in your own hands. This matters a lot to us. • Partner directly with business teams. You don't wait for tickets. You understand what growth, finance, and product are trying to learn, get ahead of it, and translate messy questions into models and answers they can trust. • Manage infrastructure as code. Provision and evolve the data platform with Pulumi, and treat the pipeline as a production system you're on the hook for. • Stay on the frontier. You actively track what's new in data engineering and AI, and you bring the good tools in instead of waiting for someone to tell you about them.

• Own vendor relationships: Run our primary cloud and SaaS vendor relationships end-to-end (AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, CloudQuery, ClickHouse, and more), leading renewals and negotiations alongside Finance and Legal. • Run procurement governance: Enforce our competitive-bid process for incoming requests and manage larger procurement through our managed-procurement partner, keeping oversight and accountability with FinOps. • Drive commercial VIA: Own spend visibility and unit economics, surface licensing and usage inefficiency before it becomes a surprise, and drive renewals, right-sizing, and tooling consolidation to realized savings. • Build reporting and governance: Vendor and SaaS cost reporting is the unowned gap today and your highest-leverage area in the first year. Build the dashboards and reporting hands-on, partner with our data teams to scale them, and own the governance layer (spend policies, thresholds, accountability). • Coordinate the cloud efficiency program: Keep optimization initiatives visible and tracked from commitment to realized savings, partnering with Engineering without taking over their delivery. • Hold the boundary on the role: You own the analytical, commercial, efficiency, and program side of vendor management. This is not a buying desk or a contracts-admin seat, and it does not take over engineering's delivery or status reporting. Procurement partners (e.g. Vertice) assist; FinOps keeps oversight and accountability.

• Partner with service teams to define meaningful SLIs and SLOs grounded in customer experience, and build the error budget policies that turn them into engineering decisions • Own and evolve the Operational Readiness Review (ORR) process — conducting reviews for new services and major changes across observability, alerting, runbooks, capacity, and graceful degradation • Strengthen the incident-to-improvement pipeline: connecting postmortem findings to operational readiness gaps, identifying repeat failure patterns, and driving systemic fixes • Act as the reliability expert teams pull in for architecture reviews, failure mode analysis, dependency mapping, and resilience design • Identify and quantify operational toil across the org, and build or advocate for automation that eliminates it • Help teams design sustainable on-call practices: alert quality, escalation paths, runbook coverage, and noise reduction • Track and report on org-wide operational maturity, surfacing systemic gaps and driving remediation

• Monitor inbound abuse signals across platform telemetry, HackerOne reports, support queues, and internal alerting pipelines. • Triage abuse cases end-to-end, assessing severity and blast radius, classifying actor types, and routing to the correct response track. • Own the abuse case queue with clear SLAs to ensure no active threats age out without a definitive decision. • Identify complex patterns across distinct cases that point toward coordinated campaigns or emerging attack techniques. • Lead response efforts for active abuse incidents, coordinating closely with Platform and Infrastructure teams to execute containment actions and drive remediation to closure. • Write clear, timely communications to affected users and internal stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of an incident. • Conduct thorough post-incident reviews, feeding findings back into detection rules, runbooks, and platform controls. • Maintain and improve incident runbooks to ensure response execution is consistent, scalable, and reproducible across time zones. • Build and tune detection logic against platform telemetry and Supabase-native data sources, including Postgres query patterns, Edge Function invocations, auth anomalies, and storage abuse. • Automate repetitive triage and response actions to aggressively reduce manual toil, increase response speed, and improve consistency. • Contribute to the Anti-Abuse Platform architecture, optimizing the blocklist schema, the remediation action ladder (L1–L4), and enforcement pipelines. • Instrument metrics for detection coverage and alert fidelity, closely tracking false positive rates, detection latency, and remediation time. • Maintain and improve the abuse operations toolchain, including case management systems, escalation workflows, and engineering reporting dashboards. • Partner with Core Engineering to design and implement platform-layer controls that eliminate abuse vectors by design rather than by reactive response. • Support Supabase for Platforms (SfP) customers by operationalizing the centralized Anti-Abuse platform for enterprise-grade use cases.
