• Serve as the dedicated FP&A business partner for Fund Administration and Customer Success, building trusted relationships with department leaders and their teams. • Provide proactive financial guidance and insights to senior leaders, helping them understand cost drivers, headcount trends, and performance against targets. • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable narratives that inform strategic decisions across hiring, vendor spend, tooling, and operational investments. • Partner with department leaders on headcount planning, including scenario modeling for team growth, restructuring, and role changes throughout the year. • Lead the annual budget process for Fund Administration and Customer Success, coordinating with department leaders to build bottoms-up plans aligned with company targets. • Own monthly forecast updates for your departments, incorporating actuals, business context, and updated assumptions to reflect the most current view of the business. • Maintain accurate headcount forecasts for your departments. • Manage OpEx planning across both departments. • Own the monthly Budget vs. Actual process for each department, leveraging Pigment to surface variances and delivering clear trend commentary and insights to senior leadership. • Review and validate actuals each month in coordination with the Accounting team. • Dig into meaningful variances to understand the underlying drivers, translate findings into clear business implications for department leaders, and collaborate on corrective actions. • Contribute to company-wide GAAP revenue forecasting, with a focus on modeling customer-level revenue, retention, expansion, and churn dynamics.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive FP&A experience; 5+ years in a business partner capacity.
- Experience in a Fund Administration business or high-growth SaaS or FinTech environment.
- Deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and variance analysis.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and cohort-based revenue modeling.
- Solid understanding of SaaS metrics: ARR, NRR, GRR, CAC, LTV, payback period, gross margin, and contribution margin.
- Experience partnering directly with department leaders outside of Finance (e.g., Operations, Customer Success, GTM) and influencing decisions through data and analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Role Description We’re hiring a Team Leader, Financial Reporting to join our Self-Funded Financial Reporting team. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for analyzing and evaluating the financial performance of Self-Funded (ASO) health plans and stop loss performance. As the Team Leader, Financial Reporting, you will oversee and support complex initiatives to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and related analysis for the Self-Funded business. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements across the reporting lifecycle. This position also serves as a critical liaison across the organization. You will represent the Self-Funded Financial Reporting team on enterprise-wide projects as a technical resource and subject matter expert, while acting as the primary point of contact for Sales & Marketing on Self-Funded group matters—partnering closely to resolve issues and support business needs. What You’ll Do - Lead the development of analysis and reporting for financial information used in monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reporting including historical and/or forecasted financial information. - Review and approve financial plans, financial forecasts, profitability impacts & competitive analysis, and various reports to better track profitability. - Drive the preparation of financial and business-related analysis and research. - Oversee the development of budgets for the department based on actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports and other factors. - Serve as the lead business partner to Sales & Marketing on self-funded group matters; serve as a subject matter expert on self-funded billing/collection/invoicing issues. - Proactively identify areas of improvement and recommend process enhancements to management. - Review, approve, and support the creation of monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting for use by senior leadership, the Board of Trustees, the BCBS Association; ensure such reporting is accurate and make presentations to management as needed. - Respond quickly and accurately to escalated issues from internal and external clients and customers.
