Role Description The Project Manager is responsible for leading complex customer projects and cross-functional initiatives from initiation through delivery. This role serves as the central delivery leader across technical teams, business stakeholders, and customers to ensure projects remain aligned to scope, schedule, budget, compliance requirements, and customer expectations. This is a highly customer-facing role that requires professionalism, strong organizational leadership, sound decision-making, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. The Project Manager must be comfortable operating within evolving environments, proactively identifying risks, driving accountability, and maintaining clear communication across stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong delivery execution skills, stakeholder management capabilities, business awareness, and the ability to maintain structure and momentum across complex initiatives. This role is expected to operate with a high degree of ownership and accountability while partnering closely with leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities - Lead and manage complex customer engagements and project initiatives across cross-functional teams. - Drive project planning, milestone management, dependency tracking, issue resolution, and delivery execution throughout the project lifecycle. - Build and maintain project schedules, action logs, risk registers, governance documentation, and executive-ready status reporting artifacts. - Drive cross-functional execution and alignment across Engineering, Product Management, Testing, Operations, Legal, Sales, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful delivery outcomes. - Lead customer communications, governance discussions, delivery reviews, and project status meetings. - Manage stakeholder expectations through proactive communication, issue escalation, and consistent follow-through. - Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies proactively while driving accountability and resolution across teams. - Lead scope management and change control efforts while ensuring alignment to contractual obligations and business objectives. - Communicate project health, delivery status, risks, financial impacts, dependencies, and key decisions to leadership and customer stakeholders. - Ensure compliance with organizational, contractual, and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases. - Drive operational improvements and contribute to PMO delivery best practices and process optimization efforts. - Operate effectively in fast-moving environments where priorities, timelines, and requirements may evolve. Qualifications - 5+ years of project management, PMO, or equivalent delivery experience. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - PMP certification preferred. - Experience leading customer-facing projects within complex, cross-functional environments. - Strong organizational, prioritization, and project execution skills. - Experience building and maintaining project schedules, governance artifacts, risk registers, dependency management, and executive-level reporting. - Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously. - Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution capabilities. - Demonstrated ability to operate independently and drive accountability across teams. - Experience working within Agile, hybrid, or structured project delivery environments. - Strong collaboration and leadership skills across technical, operational, business, and customer teams. Preferred Experience - Experience working within government, regulated, or highly compliance-driven environments strongly preferred. - Familiarity with state, local, or federal government contracts, compliance obligations, and customer delivery expectations preferred. - Experience supporting highly customer-facing implementations, enterprise delivery initiatives, or public sector programs preferred. - Experience working across complex stakeholder environments involving technical teams, business leadership, external customers, and regulatory considerations preferred.
