Role Description NTT DATA is seeking a skilled and dedicated ServiceNow Administrator with a strong specialization in Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) to support the Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program. In this critical role, you will provide essential expertise to help optimize the government’s software footprint, ensure license compliance, reduce costs, and maintain software assets, ultimately enhancing the overall efficiency of the software asset lifecycle. - Respond to requests and address issues related to software asset management. - Perform ongoing maintenance and optimize ServiceNow SAM Pro. - Ensure the integrity and accuracy of software asset data collected from multiple sources. - Manage software asset records within ServiceNow SAM Pro. - Support license compliance and audit readiness. - Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve software asset-related issues. - Maintain accurate software asset inventories and perform regular reviews and reconciliations. - Recommend improvements to optimize software usage and reduce unnecessary expenses. - Provide guidance on software licensing and asset management best practices. Job Duties - ServiceNow SAM Pro Management & Optimization: - Configure, maintain, and optimize all aspects of ServiceNow SAM Pro. - Provide support for license reconciliation and optimization requests. - Administer and manage software asset lifecycles within SAM Pro. - Provide operational support for Publisher Packs (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe). - Troubleshoot and refine SAM-related dashboards, reports, and metrics. - Support software contract management and link contracts to entitlements and assets. - Data Integration & Quality Assurance: - Support and troubleshoot integrations to ingest software asset data into ServiceNow SAM Pro. - Identify opportunities to improve data quality processes. - Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies and integration issues. - ServiceNow Platform Administration & Development: - Perform routine ServiceNow platform administration tasks. - Manage and troubleshoot incidents related to SAM Pro functionality. - Assist with ServiceNow platform upgrades and testing. - Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides for SAM processes. - Adhere to ServiceNow best practices and ITIL framework principles. - Stakeholder Collaboration & Strategic Support: - Collaborate with IT Asset Management, Procurement, Finance, and other IT teams. - Provide expertise on software licensing models and SAM best practices. - Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and testing phases for new SAM initiatives. Qualifications - Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant duties and responsibilities. - Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience. - Minimum 3 years of experience with ServiceNow platform, including administration and development. - Minimum 2 years of experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro). - Minimum 1 year of experience with data integration within ServiceNow. - Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree. - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). - ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM). - Strong understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes. - Familiarity with various software licensing models. - Deep understanding of the ServiceNow CMDB and its relationship with SAM. - Ability to troubleshoot technical issues within ServiceNow SAM Pro. - Experience with scripting in ServiceNow for custom solutions. - Experience with REST/SOAP integrations. - Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts.
