Title: Sr. Financial Analyst - Remote Location: United States Type: Full Time Workplace: remote Category: 98 - Financial Planning & Analysis We’re looking for someone strong in fundamentals (modeling, forecasting, reporting) who wants to apply those skills as a true finance business partner: supporting budgets, headcount, vendor spend, strategic analysis, and investment decisions. As a capital allocator, you’ll help deploy resources where they create the most value, and you’ll see your impact directly in the decisions we make and the results we deliver. You’ll get high exposure, partnering directly with executives and business leaders, and you’ll report to and learn from the SVP of Finance & Investor Relations, whose background spans hedge fund investing, investment banking, strategic finance, and FP&A. You’ll work alongside a team that steps in for each other, shares credit, and cares more about getting to the right answer than who got there first. Most importantly, our work supports a real mission; we exist to fight fraud, protecting people and institutions from identity theft, account takeover, and financial crime. The business is growing, because the problem is urgent, and being exacerbated by AI-generated fraud attacks. What You’ll Do (Essential Responsibilities) - Own pieces of long-range planning, the Annual Operating Plan, and reforecasting. Model 'what needs to be true' scenarios, partner with business leads to set realistic but ambitious targets, challenge assumptions, and keep the forecast a live decision-making tool. - Build and maintain driver-based forecasting models tied directly to business drivers. - Work fluently in modern FP&A planning tools to update forecasts, manage budgets, and keep reporting accurate and current. - Build dashboards and management reporting that give leaders self-service visibility into performance, budgets, and KPIs, plus monthly/quarterly outputs that explain what happened, why, and what's next. - Drive performance reviews with business leaders. This is the feedback loop where FP&A shifts from reporting to coaching: review progress, surface issues, adapt plans, and make sure leaders feel supported and resourced to execute. - Turn data into decisions. Identify trends, red flags, and recommend actions that drive revenue and margin. - Support strategic and operating decisions with financial analysis: pricing, unit economics, ROI, and investment trade-offs as the business needs them. - Separate fact from opinion. Push back when people speak with conviction but lack evidence and bring the data to back up your own view. What Sets You Apart - You are an excellent financial modeler. You build models that are fast, flexible and accurate, and you take pride in the craft. - You pressure test assumptions and look for inconsistencies instead of just pulling/trusting numbers. - You simplify complexity, communicate clearly, and stay focused on what moves the needle. - Candor as a default - you challenge directly and constructively, call out mistakes, and don't sit silently in meetings where you have a point of view. - You take ownership - you don’t wait to be asked, and you raise your hand when something doesn't look right. - You’re comfortable in the gray - quick to form a view, clear on the trade-offs, focused on outcomes. - You read corporate dynamics - informal influence matters, you know when to use the weight of leadership, and you don't go alone when a situation calls for backup. - You treat AI as a force multiplier - you've changed how you work because of it, and you're constantly testing where it can take more off your plate. What You Need (Key Requirements) - Bachelor’s degree in; Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field. - 5+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or a closely related analytical role. - Direct FP&A experience at a public SaaS or software company. You understand the metrics, operating cadence, and expectations of a listed technology business. - Direct ownership of meaningful parts of AOP and LRP cycles. You've been through multiple full planning cycles and understand how the pieces fit together. - Comfortable with public-company reporting cycles, earnings prep, and investor-grade analysis. - Experience across core FP&A workflows: budgets, forecasts, headcount models, and variance analysis. - Strong financial modeling skills. You’ve built and owned driver-based, three-statement models that guide real decisions. - Comfortable working with large datasets and translating them into actionable insights. - Able to move between granular analysis and clear executive communication without losing precision at either end. - Thrive working independently and remotely. Highly task-oriented, self-motivated, and outcome-focused. - AI-first mindset. You reach for AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) as a default, not a novelty. Fluent using them to speed up analysis, drafting, and repetitive tasks, and actively looking for where else they can improve how the work gets done. - Experience with most of the following systems: - FP&A planning tools (Adaptive [Workday] or equivalent) - ERP systems (NetSuite or equivalent) - CRM systems (Salesforce or equivalent) - Data warehouse tools (Snowflake or equivalent) - BI/dashboarding tools (Tableau or equivalent) - HRIS/payroll systems (Dayforce/Ceridian or equivalent) Nice to Have - Experience with implementation and system design of Adaptive (Workday). - Excel fluency beyond the basics - dynamic arrays, Power Query, structured data modeling, complex nested logic, and models that are fast, auditable, and built to be handed off. - Ability to build audit-proof models that are easy to follow, maintain, and scale. - Experience modeling compensation plans, headcount growth, vendor spend, and overhead allocations. - Experience in SaaS metric design and definition (e.g., ARR, CAC, payback, CLTV/LTV, churn) and applying them in decision-making. - Ability to work with complex, imperfect datasets. You know how to validate, refine, and transform them into accurate, actionable insights. - Track record of improving forecasting accuracy, reporting speed, or decision quality through automation or better visualization. - Prior experience partnering with operational teams that own budgets and cost discipline. - Able to work core hours overlapping U.S. Eastern time. - A sense of humor. We take the work seriously, but not ourselves.
