Finance Analytics Intern
Eurofins
• Gain hands-on experience in applying data analytics to financial processes and decision-making. • Work closely with our finance and analytics teams to support various projects and initiatives. • Work with Presidents, Business Unit Managers and executive staff to help prepare company-wide performance presentations. • Prepares studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, and various operational metrics. • Monitors and interprets actual results of financial data against plans, forecasts and budgets. • Prepares monthly reports on financial results. • Prepares cost control reporting; provide reports and analyses of operational expenses to department managers. • Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial data and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, or control changes. • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing financial data from multiple sources. • Perform basic statistical analyses and create financial models to support decision-making processes. • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools. • Collaborate with team members to identify trends and patterns in financial data. • Support the preparation of financial presentations and reports for stakeholders. • Participate in ad-hoc analysis projects as assigned by the finance team
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Responsive problem solver and action oriented.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience with financial statement consolidation is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is needed.
- Solid understanding of fundamental financial concepts and principles
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Academic projects or coursework demonstrating experience in finance or data analytics is a plus
- Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
- Reside within a commutable distance to Des Moines, IA lab
