Role Description We're looking for a Product Design Manager to lead a team of product designers who make complex, high-stakes workflows simple, intuitive, and increasingly AI-powered. You'll set creative direction across your team's product areas, grow designers at different stages of their careers, and partner deeply with Product and Engineering to ensure design is shaping outcomes, not just shipping screens. What You'll Do - Own design quality across your team's product areas for web and mobile. - Guide designers through ambiguity, review work with a sharp eye, and ensure what ships is grounded in real user needs and built to a high standard. - Lead and grow a team of 4-6 product designers. - Run 1:1s, drive career growth, deliver clear feedback, and build a team culture where people do their best work. - Responsible for hiring, performance, and developing the next generation of design talent at MaintainX. - Translate product strategy into focused design execution. - Help your team understand not just what they're building, but why it matters. - Set a clear, directional vision for your team's focus, rooted in customer understanding and business context. - Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineering leads. - Align on priorities, unblock delivery, and advocate for design quality and user needs in every conversation. - Raise the craft bar. - Contribute to design critiques, invest in our design system, and ensure consistency and coherence across the experiences your team touches. - Lead your team in adopting AI tools and practices to accelerate design work and push the quality and speed of your team's output. Qualifications - 6+ years of product design experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms. - 1–3 years of experience managing product designers. - Strong product thinking and craft judgment. - Ability to build trust through consistent, direct, and accountable communication. - Care about AI-powered product experiences. Requirements - Experience with frontline, mobile-first, or offline-capable product design (Nice to Have). - Background in industrial, operations, or maintenance-adjacent domains (Nice to Have). - Experience contributing to or scaling a design system (Nice to Have). - Familiarity with designing for AI-powered workflows and data-rich interfaces (Nice to Have). Role Description The Business Product Compliance and Partnerships team serves as strategic compliance advisors to Block business teams, partnering with them to define product launch requirements, identify corresponding controls, and provide ongoing compliance support throughout the product lifecycle. This involves support efforts such as ongoing risk assessments, audits/exams, documenting Policies, Standards, Procedures, and Regulatory Change Management. Product Compliance Managers (PCMs) are key decision makers on compliance controls and recommendations to Product teams. Additionally, PCMs work closely with partner banks to help build and maintain world-class compliance programs for affiliated products. We are seeking a PCM to support Square's Lending compliance program. In this role, reporting to Block's Lending Product Compliance Lead, you will drive a strong compliance posture for Square's Lending products, including the Square Credit Card. The ideal candidate has experience working directly with product teams on a day-to-day basis, while also being able to provide effective oversight and governance of key compliance activities such as: - Issues management - Testing and monitoring - Policies and procedures - Regulatory exam management support - Complaints management - Credit decisioning policies and model risk management Lastly, it is critical the candidate is a great, collaborative partner, who has experience working with Bank Partners, Product, Engineering, Design and Legal teams. • Define and communicate a clear platform vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company priorities. • Own it end-to-end from first principles through to execution. • Establish ownership, processes, and prioritisation frameworks for platform initiatives, driving prioritisation based on business, product, and technical needs. • Lead and grow the platform function, including future hiring decisions and team structure design - with a mature team structure and growth plan established within the first year. • Partner with Engineering, Product, and executive leadership on cross-functional alignment and planning. • Ensure the platform supports product scalability, reliability, and long-term technical direction - materially reducing delivery blockers in the first 6 months and delivering measurable improvements in delivery speed, reliability, and scalability over time. • Represent the platform function at leadership level and contribute to broader company strategy, with platform recognised as a strategic enabler of product growth across the organisation.
