Digital Architect

Recruit Action inc.

• Lead the solution architecture of digital services while ensuring alignment with citizen-centered design principles and agile software delivery approaches. • Develop overall architectural plans and uncover existing system contexts. • Provide recommendations, prototypes, and technical discovery activities to support solution feasibility. • Define and oversee iterative solution designs while analyzing impacts, risks, and system exposure. • Guide teams through the implementation of digital services and facilitate frequent product delivery. • Determine integration approaches and define target-state system boundaries and interactions. • Identify opportunities to leverage common digital service components and shared capabilities. • Provide guidance for detailed solution implementation designs and review code changes. • Contribute to code development activities related to user stories and technical tasks when required. • Coach and mentor product teams within agile delivery environments. • Contribute to the architectural vision for user-centric digital platforms and shared service capabilities. • Support the development of principles, metrics, and standards related to service quality and delivery. • Prepare architecture documentation, diagrams, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Participate in the continuous improvement of architecture practices and delivery processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of experience leading cross-functional agile product teams.
  • 5 years of experience as a software architect leading the design and delivery of digital solutions.
  • 2 years of experience working with teams applying UX design, service design, and design thinking methodologies.
  • 4 years of experience defining and communicating solution architecture.
  • 5 years of experience communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • 4 years of experience applying secure development practices and managing security considerations.
  • 4 years of experience designing and managing APIs, including RESTful services.
  • 2 years of experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing.
  • 5 years of experience transforming legacy systems into modern digital services environments.
  • 2 years of experience with containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • 2 years of experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
  • 4 years of experience working within public sector digital service frameworks.
