We are seeking a Sr. Data Scientist focused on Search, RAG, and GenAI to support ECS’s Professional Services. You will play a key role in shaping search architectures, advising on best practices, and applying advanced AI techniques to enterprise-scale data sets. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and optimize intelligent search solutions using Elasticsearch, including lexical, semantic, and vector-based search techniques. - Apply Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns to enhance LLM-driven applications with accurate, relevant, and contextual enterprise data. - Consult with customers to understand business objectives, data landscapes, and search challenges, translating requirements into effective AI-powered search strategies. - Build and refine embedding strategies, indexing approaches, and query workflows to improve relevance, precision, and recall. - Evaluate and integrate LLMs and GenAI capabilities into enterprise search and analytics use cases. - Collaborate with data, AI, and platform teams to align GenAI solutions with existing systems and operational workflows. - Provide strategic recommendations to improve search performance, result explainability, and overall user experience. - Lead knowledge-sharing sessions, technical workshops, and enablement activities related to GenAI, RAG, and advanced search techniques. - Serve as a trusted advisor for customers and internal stakeholders on emerging trends in AI-powered search and retrieval. - Stay current with advancements in Elasticsearch, GenAI, LLM tooling, and search relevance methodologies. Qualifications - Hands-on experience applying Elasticsearch to search, analytics, or data science use cases. - Strong understanding of search concepts including relevance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization. - Experience working with data science or AI-driven solutions in enterprise environments. - Familiarity with large-scale data platforms and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for customers and stakeholders. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as needed. - Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Requirements - Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000

We’re hiring a Senior People Data Scientist (L5) to serve as an enterprise-wide people analytics thought partner—blending data engineering, analytics, consulting, and data product ownership. You will own complex, multi-quarter analytical workstreams, shape company-level people metrics, and help leaders at all levels use data to make better, more equitable decisions about our workforce. This is a high-visibility IC role with significant exposure to senior HR and business leaders, ideal for someone who is equally comfortable in Snowflake, extracting insights from employee data, executive-level storytelling, and in shaping how HR and business leaders across Instacart use data at scale. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, or a closely related field, with at least 2–3+ years in People Analytics / HR data (HCM, recruiting, comp, retention, DEI, engagement, or workforce planning). - Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience. Requirements - Experience designing and maintaining executive-facing dashboards and data products in a BI tool (e.g., OneModel, Tableau, Looker), including metric design, documentation, and stakeholder enablement/training. - Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with a modern cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, including working with large, complex datasets, performance-tuned queries, building data pipelines, and developing analytics-ready models. - Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear stories and actionable insights for HR/business leaders, including writing talking points and delivering live presentations. - Demonstrated expertise in multivariate analysis, including the design and interpretation of regression models, comparison testing, and natural language processing techniques applied to large-scale text data. - Strong foundation in research methodology and psychometrics, with the ability to design, validate, and interpret survey instruments and other qualitative measures with rigor. - Experience handling sensitive HR data with strong judgment around privacy, security, and role-based access controls.
