Role Description We are looking for a (Junior) Business Development Manager (f/m/x) to work closely alongside our Shared Operations Services team as well as the local Operations teams across Europe. In our AUTO1 Group Operations Department we ensure smooth processes by combining operational thinking with strategic skill. You will be responsible for your own projects and develop innovative solutions for our daily business operations, optimize our existing processes and further enhance our portfolio on an international scale. - Actively monitor and analyze operational KPIs, regularly engaging with stakeholders to review performance data, identify trends, and ensure targets are consistently achieved. - Define short- and long-term improvement actions and their prioritization according to the company's current goals and strategy like centralized tools or process enhancements. - Implement the identified solutions by coordinating internal resources and relevant stakeholders EU-wide to ensure a successful and timely rollout. - Take full ownership of diverse projects by organizing their setup, contributing your own ideas, overseeing progress throughout each phase, and systematically evaluating outcomes to identify successes and opportunities for further improvement. - Serve as the point of contact for the local Operations teams as well as other departments within the company to help clarify processes and targets. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or in another related field. - Practical experience in Business Development, Project Management, or Operations. - Organised mindset with strong attention to detail, being able to build structure from the ground up. - Fast adapting personality with a strong sense of taking responsibility, initiatives and working independently. - Strong analytical skills, being able to derive actionable items from large data sets and proficiency with MS-Excel and Google Sheets. - Excellent communication skills with fluency in English - verbal and written. Arlington County Police Department's (ACPD) Community Engagement Section is looking to hire a Business Outreach Specialist as a member of its Business Outreach Unit (BOU) to plan, develop, and administer the various county projects, programs, services, and contracts on behalf of the ACPD. The BOU seeks to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders within Arlington County, which includes businesses, community groups, civic associations, and other departments within County and State government. Specific duties include: - Achieving and maintaining excellent public service, effective communication, and positive working relationships with various stakeholders in Arlington County while exercising discretion, diplomacy and sound judgement; - Assisting restaurants with the Arlington Restaurant Initiative (ARI) accreditation process to include writing their policies, training, and conducting operational walkthroughs; - Engaging in and presenting at special events committee meetings, live entertainment meetings, BID/civic association meetings, and other department, county and community meetings; - Leading event planning and coordination efforts, ensuring efficient execution and positive participant experiences; - Overseeing the ACPD Nightlife Detail program and researching new trends within the nightlife management fields by gathering information; - Reviewing various social media, identifying and analyzing issues, and developing new recommendations, programs and/or initiatives to resolve substantive public safety problems; - Overseeing the day-to-day administration of BOU programs, such as scheduling, logistics, materials and equipment coordination, problem solving; - Assisting in production of, and training staff, in BOU initiatives; and - Collecting and analyzing data, and developing and delivering presentations, briefings, internal and external reports, memorandums, and informational analyses in support of BOU initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to: - Handle sensitive confidential information with extreme discretion and in compliance with local, state and federal laws; - Present with strong verbal and written communication skills; - Compile, analyze and maintain records; and - Utilize various social media platforms proficiently. Minimum: Education: Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or related field; plus Experience: Some experience in program administration or program management of nightlife, business safety, or other similar programs. Substitute: Additional qualifying experience can be substituted for the educational requirement. A Master's degree or higher may be substituted for some of the experience requirement. Desirable: Preference may be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following: - Managing public-facing projects or programs related to nightlife, community outreach or business safety; - Working with public safety agencies; - Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), LERMS, Peregrine, records management systems, and/or Adobe Acrobat programs; - Working in local or state government or other public institutions that require knowledge of local government functions and responsibilities; and/or - Bilingual in English and Spanish.
