HR Onboarding and Retention Specialist

The Human Resources Onboarding and Retention Specialist’s primary role is to manage the new hire onboarding process and paperwork, and help to create and foster a supportive, positive, and productive workplace environment to ensure all employees’ needs are being met from day one! They will assist the department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees. Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: Maintaining Human Resource Information System records and compiling reports from database Coordination of the document control process for all company new hires Onboarding and new hire orientation Collaborating and communicating with employees to understand their concerns Counseling and providing guidance and support to the employees and helping to resolve their issues. Helping to identify the root cause of issues and misunderstandings within various departments. Reporting findings of issues and misunderstandings to Senior Leadership Organizing employee training sessions. Aiding communication between management and employees and resolving issue Conduct exit interviews, summarize findings, and discuss trends and concerns with senior management. Scheduling new employee onboarding interviews Responding to employee relations hotline Participates in quality assurance activities Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with NFS’ standards Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Must have at least 1 or more years of UKG Ready experience Strong verbal and written communication skills; can communicate seamlessly Experience with compliance and reporting Collaborative and supportive mindset Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) with the aptitude to learn new software and systems Excellent time management skills, ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment Strong attention to detail Ability to work as a team player Ability to manage confidential information Ability to work remotely with a quiet, dedicated workspace Must Reside in NH, MA, or RI Benefits: Health, dental & vision 3 weeks paid vacation 11 Paid holidays (including Juneteenth, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and NY Eve.) Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, communications, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience
