Pencil

Pencil uses AI to make ads. Our mission is to make marketing effective and effortless. We want to become the default way ads get made — because AI ads are 10x faster and cheaper to make, and 2x better performing, than making them without AI. Pencil was founded in 2018 with a team from Google, Facebook and Uber with backing from Sequoia and Entrepreneur First. We were acquired by The Brandtech Group in 2023 to pursue a shared vision of bringing GenAI to the Fortune 500.

Job Description

Product Designer - Editor

Pencil

Role Description At Pencil, we are driving innovation in advertising technology through our state-of-the-art SaaS product, which harnesses Generative AI to redefine content creation. Our mission is to make AI the default in advertising without replacing creative people. To achieve this, we need to make sure that our technology isn’t just in the hands of big brands - we need to try to help small businesses and creative individuals too. We’re hiring a Product Designer to take full ownership of the core Editor experience, which is the central marketing OS for content creation. You will lead design from strategy to execution, working closely with Product and Engineering to shape features that help users create, edit, and export ads faster with AI. This role is ideal for someone who wants real responsibility, values speed and execution, and thrives in an environment where each Designer drives their own part of the product. You won’t just push pixels, you’ll help define what we build and why, with a primary focus on driving generations and exports. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally within SaaS or complex, workflow-driven editing and creation tools. - A strong portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end product thinking with a focus on speed, creation, and impact on output. - Builder mindset with a deep obsession for creating tools that help users produce content faster. - Deep craft sensibility and solid interaction and visual design skills to make creation tools feel powerful but simple. - Proven ability to work autonomously and demonstrate strong product intuition, knowing what features will increase generations and exports without over-researching. - High iteration tolerance and comfort with a "build and see what sticks" mode, happy to test, tweak, and evolve features rapidly based on usage. - Strong experience working closely with engineers and a proven ability to keep up with a large, fast-moving engineering team. - Highly proficient in Figma, using it fluently to explore ideas, communicate intent, and evolve design systems. - AI curiosity and comfort designing for AI-powered systems, interested in how AI augments creation and integrates into editing workflows. Requirements - You thrive in an execution-heavy environment with short cycles from concept to shipped feature, prioritizing speed over polish to accelerate learning. - You are a Workflow thinker who understands how users move from idea to finished asset and are obsessed with optimizing that flow. - You’re excited by AI as a design material and want to help define new interaction paradigms in a high-growth environment. - You are expected to own the space end-to-end, not just design screens.

Role Description Domains are one of the first things a customer buys at Hostinger. You’ll own the end-to-end experience of domain management: finding the right domain, transferring, understanding what you own, and discovering what else you might need. It’s a surface that mixes high-stakes decisions with real commercial opportunity (upsell, cross-sell done right). AI is changing this space too- from smarter domain suggestions to proactive management nudges. You’ll be designing those experiences, not just reacting to them. Your day-to-day - Own the design of domain management and discovery experiences for millions of users. - Identify upsell and cross-sell moments that feel helpful rather than pushy - good timing and good framing matter here. - Work closely with PMs and engineers in a cross-functional team, from research through to shipped feature. - Use AI tools to move faster: prototype more ideas, test more hypotheses, find patterns in user behaviour at scale. - Conduct and synthesise user research to understand what customers actually struggle with - and why. - Iterate based on data: monitor performance after launch and keep improving. Qualifications - 3-5 years of experience designing for consumer-focused tech products. - Generalist mindset - comfortable with UX research, interaction design, and visual craft without needing to specialise in just one. - Use AI tools in your daily workflow: whether that’s speeding up exploration, generating variants, or synthesising research faster. - Comfortable with HTML/CSS basics - enough to prototype in browser and collaborate closely with engineers. - Strong communication skills: can present decisions, take feedback, and push back when needed. - Familiar with analytics tools (Amplitude, Hotjar or similar) - let data inform decisions without being paralysed by it. - A portfolio showing real product work - process, thinking, and outcomes, not just polished screens. Benefits - 🚀 360 Growth: Limitless learning opportunities, access to platforms like Reforge and Coach Hub, global conferences, physical and digital libraries, feedback culture, and mentoring through TesoXchange. - 🎯 Freedom & responsibility: Work on your terms from modern offices in Kaunas and Vilnius, the comfort of home, or anywhere in the world. - 💪 Wellness simplified: Health insurance from Day 1, gym memberships, recharge leave, Headspace subscriptions, and regular health checks. - 🎉 Work hard – play hard: Celebrate achievements with company events like Summerfest & Winterfest, Town Hall, Meet the Client initiatives, team-buildings, and workations. Compensation Gross salary: 4500 – 6500 EUR/month depending on experience.
