Area Business Manager – Dermatology

Role Description The Area Business Manager (ABM) is responsible for engaging Dermatologists and other key customers within an assigned geography and presenting clinically focused selling messages to create and grow revenue and to consistently deliver product goals related to Atopic Dermatitis, Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, Prurigo Nodularis, and Bullous Pemphigoid. - Engage Dermatology/Immunology customers within assigned geographical territory. - Deliver clinically focused messages to introduce, launch, grow brand-share and revenue. - Collaborate and coordinate with key field-based stakeholders. - Develop strong working relationships with Dermatology experts and healthcare personnel. - Drive results by identifying key opportunities and developing strategic business plans. - Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities. - Maximize budget allocated to the geographic territory. - Participate and help lead initiatives to support sales success. - Own business opportunities within the respective geographic area. - Establish relationships with thought leaders in assigned territory. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. - 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience. - Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information. - Ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary. - Proven success and positive track record of consistent sales performance. - Ability to operate as a “team player” in cooperation with collaboration partners. - Valid Driver’s License. Requirements - 2+ years selling sub-cutaneous self-injectable (or office administered IV) biologics. - 2+ years selling experience in dermatologic disorders such as atopic dermatitis. - 2+ years selling experience calling on Dermatologists. - Launch experience in specialty care and biologics strongly preferred. - Alliance/matrix partnership experience strongly preferred. - Demonstrate advanced clinically based selling skills. - Results oriented with a proven track record of success with product launches. - Experience with in-servicing and training office staff, nurses, and office managers. - Demonstrate a passion and learning aptitude for science. - Highly organized with strong account management skills. - Candidates must complete all fleet safety training and maintain an acceptable driving record. Use knowledge gained to make proper FG forecast decisions as well as inventory type and level adjustment. - Collaborate with plant buyer/planner to establish the S&OP / SIOP inventory plan and manage inventory related targets (safety stock, reorder point, minimum order size, etc.) that are consistent with the stocking policy. - Collaborate with production planner to monitor adherence to production plan in order to insure proper execution of the inventory plan - Participate in the identification and resolution of gaps between business plan and SIOP sales forecast - Monitor SKU level inventory turns, correlate with service level and carrying cost, and recommend SKU rationalization initiative. - Proactively identify and implement process improvements. Evolve and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems. QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TECHNICAL SKILLS/BEHAVORIAL SKILLS: - Bachelor degree in business, industrial engineering, operation research, or supply chain management. At least 7 to 10 years of industry experience in forecasting demand and sales generation for 500+ sku's in a complex manufacturing environment. - Solid background in S&OP/SIOP and demand planning.
