Lead QA Engineer
Supportworks
Title: Lead QA Engineer Location: Omaha, NE Full Time Manager/Supervisor Job Description: At Supportworks, we're transforming how contractors and homeowners connect and we're looking for a Lead QA Engineer to help us rebuild our QA function and shape how quality works at SolutionView. To help rebuild our in-house QA processes, we're hiring two QA engineers: a Lead QA Engineer (this role) and another QA Engineer who will work alongside you. You'll have the opportunity to define how QA works at SolutionView — process, tooling, standards, and culture, with real backing and the autonomy to do it well. If you've ever wanted to lead and shape a QA function rather than inherit one, this is the role for you! This role is hybrid and based in Papillion, NE. Initially, the role will require a heavier in-office presence for training and relationship-building. After ramp-up, the schedule is 3 days in office and 2 days work-from-home. Who We Are Supportworks is more than a company, we’re a family of brands dedicated to transforming the contractor industry: - Foundation Supportworks: A leader in foundation and concrete repair products, empowering a network of contractors across North America. - SolutionView: A software innovator creating digital tools that redefine the contractor-homeowner experience. What You'll Work On - SolutionView Tablet — our mobile sales app, available on iPad and Android tablets, used by home service contractors from start to finish during customer appointments, often in spotty connectivity. iPad is our most common deployment today - Admin Site — a web platform where companies configure workflows, pricing, and product logic to enable their unique sales, installation, and service processes - Customer Portal — a web experience where homeowners review appointment details, history, and approve/sign for proposed work - Integrations across systems like CRMs and third-party tools What You'll Do Build the QA Function - Define and document QA process, standards, and workflows from the ground up - Establish tooling and infrastructure for manual and automated testing - Set the bar for what “release-ready” means at SolutionView - Mentor and partner with our other QA Engineer hire Own Mobile & Web Quality - Lead release quality across our tablet field app, web admin, customer portal, and integrations - Build a device coverage strategy (real devices, emulators, services like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs) - Own offline-first testing — sync conflicts, intermittent connectivity, and the messy realities of field use - Validate UI/UX behavior, responsiveness, and system interactions across iOS/iPadOS, Android, and modern browsers Test Planning & Execution - Design and execute manual test plans, regression suites, and scenario-based tests grounded in real customer workflows - Expand and harden automated coverage (we currently use Sofy.ai) - Drive shift-left: ensure features are testable before development begins Bug Triage & Partnership - Reproduce complex or inconsistent customer issues - Document clearly: steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual behavior, supporting evidence (logs, screenshots, recordings) - Partner with developers, PMs, and Support to validate fixes and ship with confidence - Provide a QA perspective in our support channels Continuous Improvement - Spot patterns across bugs and recommend systemic fixes — not just one-off solutions - Raise the floor for the whole team through better tools, better process, and shared standards What You Bring - 5+ years of QA experience across mobile and web applications - You've built or substantially rebuilt a QA function before — process, tooling, hiring, the whole thing - Strong mobile testing background, especially; iOS / iPadOS and Android (iPad is our most common deployment) - Field-deployment realities: offline behavior, sync, device variability, intermittent connectivity - Web cross-browser testing experience - Comfort working in systems with configurable logic, conditional workflows, and data-driven behavior - Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams - Coaching and mentorship instincts as you'll be partnering with a QA Engineer who will work alongside you Bonus Experience - Test automation framework experience (Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, Playwright, Cypress, etc.) - Experience with Sofy.ai or similar low-code automation platforms - Debugging with logs and basic data inspection (SQL, JSON, etc.) - Experience testing apps used by reps in the field (offline states, sync issues, device variability) - Experience hiring or scoping QA roles - Business analysis chops — gathering requirements, defining acceptance criteria, or writing user stories with PMs and stakeholders - Experience mapping customer workflows or business processes (BPMN, flowcharts, journey maps) - Comfort facilitating requirement-gathering sessions with non-technical stakeholders Ready to Make an Impact If you're passionate about building high-quality software, love digging into the details, and want to help shape products that truly matter, we'd love to hear from you! Supportworks is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).

Role Description At Poka, we’re transforming how frontline teams operate, learn, and solve problems. Our connected worker platform is purpose-built for manufacturing, empowering frontline workers to share knowledge, collaborate in real-time, and drive continuous improvement. As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Poka, you’ll work directly with leading manufacturers to identify, design, and deliver high-impact AI and integration solutions inside real operations. This isn’t a traditional solutions or consulting role. You’ll own outcomes end-to-end. What you’ll be doing: - Partner with customers to deeply understand their operations, systems, and priorities — and identify where AI and integrations can unlock value. - Lead discovery sessions and technical discussions, shaping high-impact use cases and defining realistic solution approaches. - Design and build integrations between Poka and enterprise systems (ERP, MES, CMMS, etc.) using APIs and middleware tools. - Develop AI-powered workflows and agents (e.g., operator assistants, intelligent triage, document processing, anomaly detection) using modern LLM frameworks. - Own delivery end-to-end — from scoping and architecture to implementation, testing, and handoff. - Support strategic deals by contributing to pre-sales conversations, workshops, and technical deep dives. - Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Services to refine solutions and translate field learnings into scalable capabilities. - Contribute reusable integration templates and AI workflow patterns that can scale across customers. - Travel to customer sites (~25–35%) for workshops, discovery, and key delivery moments. Qualifications - Experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Integration Consultant, or similar). - Strong hands-on experience building AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, or automation solutions — this is your core strength. - Practical experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and building real-world use cases (not just experimentation). - Solid grounding in system integrations, APIs, and connecting enterprise platforms. - Ability to quickly go from ambiguous problem → working prototype using tools like Python, Node.js, and modern AI stacks. - Confidence bridging business and technical conversations, from frontline operations to IT stakeholders. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt solutions to real-world constraints. - Comfort working in ambiguity and helping shape a new, evolving capability within Poka. - Familiarity with manufacturing systems or industrial environments is a strong plus. Benefits - Dynamic and collaborative work environment. - Generous vacation policy upon arrival. - Remote work policy. - A truly flexible schedule that allows you to adapt your work hours. - Benefits Plan offered from day one. - MacBook Pro and €500 allowance for your home office. - Generous referral bonus. - The tools, support, and opportunities you need to keep learning and progressing in your career. Company Description We’re proud to support global leaders like Nestlé, Bosch, Mars, and Danone in their digital transformation journeys and as part of the IFS family, our reach and impact continue to grow globally. Please note: An understanding of English is essential at Poka, as it is the language used during company-wide meetings and many internal communications, ensuring effective collaboration and decision-making.
