Role Description The Instructional Technologist II provides advanced frontline and instructional technology support for faculty, staff, and students across institutional learning platforms. This role independently manages course-level LMS configuration, instructional tool support, and quality assurance activities while collaborating with faculty to enhance course delivery and learner engagement. The Instructional Technologist II is expected to resolve the majority of course-level and user-related issues prior to escalation and to operate with minimal supervision within established institutional standards. Qualifications - 2–4 years of experience supporting LMS platforms or educational technologies. - Strong proficiency in LMS configuration and course design best practices. - Working knowledge of HTML and basic CSS for course formatting and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with LTI tools and integrated instructional technologies. - Ability to independently resolve course-level technical issues. - Strong communication and stakeholder support skills. Requirements - Provide Tier II support for the Learning Management System and integrated instructional technologies. - Configure courses, assignment settings, gradebook structures, rubrics, and outcomes within institutional standards. - Troubleshoot enrollment, access, submission, and gradebook-related issues. - Support blueprint-aligned course implementations and identify sync-related discrepancies. - Support faculty in configuring approved third-party tools within the LMS. - Validate tool functionality at the course level and escalate system-level integration concerns. - Assist with routine testing of tool updates or configuration changes. - Conduct quality assurance reviews of course shells to ensure functionality, accessibility, and proper tool configuration. - Identify and correct HTML and CSS formatting inconsistencies in course content. - Apply accessibility best practices aligned with WCAG/Section 508 standards. - Provide individual consultations and group training on LMS tools and instructional best practices. - Develop job aids and documentation for common LMS processes. - Contribute to knowledge base updates and document recurring issue patterns. Benefits - Budgeted Hiring Range: $66,000 — $72,000 USD. - All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will cover travel, lodging, and other accommodations. This position provides remote service and technical support to employees at all Life Time locations through email and phone support. Service Desk Agents are often involved in the installation of corporate and club end-user technology, printer and device installation, and troubleshooting. Job Duties and Responsibilities - Interacts with the IT Advanced Support, Corporate Support and end-users to address issues. - Manages call intakes and emails to the Service Desk, prioritizes work, and communicates with end-users or their agents regarding support efforts. - Provides support for desktop technologies including, end-user applications, operating systems, hardware, and peripherals. - Completes administrative tasks in support of Life Time’s request management processes (access requests, hardware and software requests).
