F5 Security Engineer

Role Description The Level 2 (Senior) Engineer will create a big picture design view using GDT's offering (Network, Data Center, Security, Collaboration & Cloud). The Engineer will guide clients in their decision making related to less complex situations (scale, feature set, client profile -- size, geography, etc. solutions, technologies, and client profile). Designs the solution to accomplish cross-system objectives such as redundancy, reuse, integration, and consistency. Provides intermediate technical support in a professional manner. Responsible for development and implementation of total design and approves final design and presents to client for sign-off. Ensures technology/solution is implemented as designed to the client's satisfaction/approval. Determines design changes to resolve problems/issues. Ensures design integrates properly with existing technologies. Supports Project Manager by providing technical inputs for project plan. Mentors junior members of team in technical and consulting skills. Qualifications - Understanding in technical solution design and adapting presales discussions/designs into implemented solutions. - Strong communication skills. - Ability to convey technical requirements and concepts, commensurate to one’s level, to technical and non-technical clients and corporate audience. - Excellent written and oral communications, problem solving and process management skills. - Ability to work well within a team environment in a matrixed organization. - Interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization. Requirements - Must have good knowledge in Cisco routers and Switches. - Good to have knowledge in Aruba Switches. - Must have Knowledge in anyone of these Firewalls - Palo Alto/Cisco ASA/Cisco firepower/Juniper SRX/Fortinet. (Mostly for Security Domain) - Network UC Level 2: Must have good knowledge in Call Manager, Cisco Unity Connection and Cisco IM&P. - Basic understanding in SIP, H323 Gateways and Expressway connectors. - Must have targeted Solution Domain, knowledge in Network Data/Mobility or Network Security or Network Voice (UC), Data Center Components (Networking, Storage, Compute) and Basic knowledge in Cloud. - Good to have knowledge in Cisco Contact Center Xpress, Cisco Expressways and MGCP Gateways. - Good knowledge of DC Networking, Storage and Compute technologies and integrations. Certifications - Must be completed in anyone of below certification: - CCNA - Must for Network and Security L2 - CCNP Collaboration - Good to have for UC L2 - CCNP Enterprise - Good to have. - ACSA - Good to have. - ACSP - Good to have.
