Platform Engineer – Middleware
Kyndryl
• Design and develop enterprise-grade integration solutions using: IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM API Connect Apache Kafka, IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) • Implement API-led and event-driven architectures • Create HLD/LLD designs for integration solutions • ACE Development: Message flows, sub flows, ESQL and Java Compute nodes • Implement: Data transformation, routing, enrichment, Integration with backend systems (REST/SOAP/MQ/Kafka) • Optimize for performance and scalability • Design and implementation proxies / Service proxies / API routing layers • Use IBM API Connect to: Develop APIs and proxy layers, Implement routing, versioning, mediation logic • Apply: Request/response transformation, Traffic policies (throttling, rate limiting) • Develop Kafka-based integrations: Producers and consumers, Event streaming pipelines. • Implement real-time data integration patterns • Integrate Kafka with ACE and API layers • Develop transformation maps using IBM ITX • Handle: Complex data formats, High-volume transformations • Integrate ITX with ACE and APIs • Implement: Reusable integration components, Error handling and logging frameworks, Security patterns (OAuth, JWT, TLS) • Ensure adherence to: Coding standards, Performance benchmarks, Integration governance practices • Work closely with Enterprise architects, Application teams, Infrastructure and DevOps teams, Provide technical guidance and mentorship and Participate in solutioning, estimations, and client discussions
Job Requirements
- 5 to 7+ years of database developer experience in banking or BFSI domain
- Strong hands-on development experience in: IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise), IBM API Connect, Apache Kafka, IBM Transformation Extender (ITX)
- Expertise in: API Proxy / Service Proxy / API Routing patterns
- REST/SOAP API development, Microservices & API-led architecture
- Strong knowledge of: JSON, XML, XSD
- Strong coding skills in: ESQL, Java (for integration logic)
- Experience in building: Scalable and reusable integration components
- Understanding of: Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP)
- Event-driven systems, Distributed architectures.
- Exposure to: Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- CI/CD (Jenkins, Git), Cloud (AWS / Azure / IBM Cloud)
