• Develop positive stakeholder relationships in working with all levels at the client • Be professional with a client’s supplier in auditing the contractual relationship • Become the resident expert for their clients’ systems and processes • Perform in-depth reviews and document auditable clauses where financial leakage may occur from the contract between client and supplier • Assist as needed in the processing of data obtained from both client and supplier • Lead the discussion, negotiation, and resolution of identified financial discrepancies • Provide customer and supplier audit reports and updates as required for all stakeholders • Provide reports and updates as required for all stakeholders • Perform administrative activities as needed on a timely basis • Assist in the development and training of less experienced auditors • Ensure each claim exceeds the client’s expectation for quality • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously and prioritize activities within each engagement • Perform a quality review of all deliverables from beginning to end of each engagement
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in Contract Compliance auditing (Commercial/Retail) and/or Forensic Accounting Professional Services
- Significant knowledge of ERP or payables systems
- Self-starter with the capability to analyze a vendor's systems, business rules and data without detailed instructions
- Strong analytical skill set and a strong desire to perform extensive research and draw conclusions from that research
- Up-to-date knowledge of the Commercial & Retail industries, key trends and major players
- Advanced knowledge of general accounting/auditing principles and practices
- Knowledge of or aptitude to learn APEX Analytix audit technologies, processes, and procedures
- Understand process mapping and workflow development

Role Description The Principal Oversight Inspector (POI) is responsible for the full range of certification, surveillance, and inspection duties for assigned air carriers, air operators, air agencies, airmen, and designees. Has program responsibility to assure that assigned organizations meet Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) with respect to flight operations programs. Establishes work programs for inspection and surveillance. Duties - Technical Administration - Ensures assigned organizations are properly organized, staffed, and equipped. - Establishes and conducts adequate training programs. - Maintains record keeping systems and ensures procedures meet regulatory requirements. - Chairs joint FAA and industry meetings. - Maintains regular contact with assigned organizations and coordinates with top management officials. - Requires or directs correction of deficiencies/discrepancies; refuses or withdraws approval if unresolved. - Conducts enforcement investigations and prepares final reports and recommendations. - Performs or supervises emergency suspension of certificates or cancellation of operations specifications. - Conducts investigations of public complaints, congressional inquiries, and aircraft incidents/accidents. - Provides technical assistance to legal counsel, testifies at court trials and formal hearings. - Coordinates MEL approvals with the principal inspector. - Takes enforcement action in instances of noncompliance with the MEL. - Coordinates with geographic inspectors for non-routine air carrier surveillance. - Certification - Approves/accepts or disapproves/rejects manuals and revisions. - May require amendments to previously approved manuals. - Evaluates training programs to ensure compliance with 14 CFR. - Approves or disapproves training programs including flight simulators and training devices. - Approves/disapproves designation of check airmen and makes recommendations on designees. - Evaluates operations and facilities through on-site inspections. - Negotiates changes in policies and procedures. - Determines methods for securing corrective action and evaluates effectiveness. - Evaluates and approves/disapproves requests to operate under new conditions. - Approves original issuance of operations specifications and operating certificates. - Directs or participates in flight evaluations for compliance with 14 CFR. - Surveillance - Monitors all phases of operations including training programs and records. - Coordinates with geographic inspectors to identify trends indicating safety deterioration. - Monitors activities of designated examiners, check airmen, and instructors. - Performs other duties as assigned. • Monitor coding compliance through prebill and retrospective reviews or audits of ICD and/or CPT codes assigned by coding staff. • Monitor coding compliance by performing focused audits on high-risk areas identified by the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). • Identify through focused audits operational and regulatory issues related to coding, documentation, and compliance. • Identify and alert to trends found in reviews or data through Summary Reports.
