Title: Reliability Engineer Location: Washington Remote USA14501 Job Description: The Role This position will help bolster plant operations relative to engineering needs. The incumbent will receive instructions on task specifications and design constraints, as well as technical direction during assignments. They will be responsible for planning the details, sequence, and priority of tasks to meet established time targets of which progress and results will be periodically reviewed. Long term, mid-term and daily planning are a key aspect of the position responsibilities. Projects are typically significant assignments of broader programs involving existing products or processes. Projects may involve annual objectives and a team effort. This person may provide technical direction to non-exempt personnel or line supervisors and operators but does not have regular supervisory responsibility. The position requires technical skills and knowledge of the process as well as strong capabilities in areas of planning, scheduling, organizing, follow up and cost control. - Troubleshoot and make improvements of operations, efficiency, and safety - Analyze data to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement - Develop new or modify existing equipment, machines, or processes to improve product quality, service reliability, reduce costs or increase capacity - Perform calculations and cost estimates of mechanical systems - Plan project work through team coordination meeting and scheduling - Consult with manufacturing operations, engineers and maintenance personnel on projects, problems, and techniques to resolve critical situations expeditiously and achieve production goals - Update and maintain current documentation of specifications, drawings, and safety procedures - Knowledgeable in the effective use of Six Sigma principles, tools, and methods - Define the problems of requesting department and translate them into engineering solutions through innovation and advanced engineering approaches to respond in and efficient and timely manner to production meds and requirements - Apply WCM tools to projects and processes to improve quality, reduce defects and thereby improving costs - Report all EH&S incidents - Injuries/Recordables, Near Misses, First Aid, Environmental and Property/Equipment Damage - Ensure adherence to Waste Management and Recycling responsibilitie - Participate in Incident & Near Miss Investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
