Job Description

Account Executive – Security

Ouster

• Engage in a consultative, relationship-driven sales process with the highest value customers within the Security vertical • Serve as primary relationship holder with key account decision-makers and influencers • Lead deployment of Ouster’s Gemini-Detect security solutions for all of North America • Directly manage the full sales cycle from prospect creation, value proposition, negotiation, and deal closure • Identify new customer requirements and communicate to product management and engineering teams • Cross-sell throughout existing customer relationships, leveraging successes on existing projects to find new ones within the same organization • Maintain internal reporting/forecasting for business operations and finance teams.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum five years in sales, sales engineering, or business development in the Security ecosystem
  • Knowledge of and experience with security systems (Video Management Systems such as Genetec and Milestone, Access Control, and legacy detection modalities)
  • Ability to navigate complex sales processes, including working with system integrators, technology partners, and end-customers on security applications
  • Technically Proficient: Motivated to learn more about company technology and products at more than a surface level
  • The ideal candidate will identify gaps in the current organization and take steps to make Ouster compliant with necessary requirements in order to optimize product positioning
  • Curious/Analytical: Able to be the customer
  • Resourceful/Scrappy: Creative about ways to get the job done efficiently
  • Organized/Diligent: Follow up regularly and maintain momentum with counterparties
  • Polished/Relatable: Manage conversations and meetings with external parties smoothly, charismatically, and with gravitas

  • Skilled in CRM systems and prospecting tools such as Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, Groove
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA or degree in Engineering is a plus

Role Description This role has been designated as ‘Remote/Teleworker’, which means you will primarily work from home. This role is not a hands-on security engineering or SOC position. Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a Program Manager – Product Security Governance to drive execution of secure software development (SSDF), regulatory readiness (EU Cyber Resilience Act), and internal security governance initiatives within the Networking Business Unit. This role is responsible for end-to-end program coordination, execution tracking, and governance delivery across multiple cross-functional teams. The Program Manager will partner closely with security engineering, product, and development teams to ensure security and compliance requirements are consistently implemented across the software development lifecycle. This is an execution-focused program role centered on driving accountability, visibility, and operational rigor, rather than building security tools or performing hands-on engineering work.
