Responsibilities - Lead the IRM project management office for enterprise‑level initiatives, translating priorities into structured plans with clear scope, milestones, dependencies, and delivery discipline. - Provide project risk management oversight for major initiatives, including review and challenge of project documentation to assess risk adequacy, project tiering, and execution readiness. - Act as the IRM risk partner for material project risks, issuing risk opinions on significant decisions or changes and participating in steering or governance forums as needed. - Partner with project managers and sponsors to ensure timely escalation of emerging risks, execution issues, and material budget or scope changes. - Manage interdependencies across multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing delivery objectives with enterprise risk and governance expectations. - Deliver clear, decision‑ready status and risk reporting to IRM leadership and senior stakeholders. - Contribute to broader enterprise risk management activities, including governance forums and internal risk reporting. - Serve as a member of the US Non Life IRM leadership team and make decisions in the best interest of the team. - Be a team player in support of all IRM and MRAS objectives. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 10+ years of experience leading increasingly complex, cross‑functional projects or programs in insurance, financial services, or a similarly regulated environment. - Demonstrated expertise in project management and execution risk, including managing scope, timeline, cost, and delivery risk. - Experience applying or overseeing project risk management practices for large or high‑impact initiatives. - Experience working within formal enterprise governance structures, including executive‑level reporting and issue escalation. - Proven ability to influence outcomes in a matrixed organization without direct authority. - Project management certification strongly preferred (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum). - Insurance or risk credentials a plus (e.g., CPCU, ARe, actuarial exams/designations, or equivalent). Requirements - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and gain alignment across U.S. and international stakeholders. - Comfortable engaging with senior executives, framing trade‑offs, providing perspective, and constructively challenging assumptions when appropriate. - Self‑directed and execution‑oriented, able to operate effectively with limited direction and drive work forward in ambiguous or evolving situations. - Demonstrates sound judgment and ownership, proactively identifying issues and advancing solutions. - Brings an enterprise mindset, balancing delivery objectives with risk discipline and governance expectations.
