Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in business systems development leadership
  • expert-level architectural knowledge in at least two of our primary platforms: NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, or Boomi
  • experience managing the evolution of a complex SaaS ecosystem
  • experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • extensive experience managing high-output consultant teams and staff augmentation models
  • deep understanding of middleware and integration patterns
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)

Role Description GovCIO is seeking an experienced FinOps Lead with deep expertise in cloud financial management, IT financial operations, cost optimization, forecasting, and hybrid infrastructure cost governance to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information Technology (OIT). In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior OIT partners, finance teams, engineering teams, operations stakeholders, business leaders, and functional consultants to establish and mature a hybrid Financial Operations framework that enables cost transparency, financial accountability, and optimization across cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments. This role will serve as the financial authority across infrastructure operations, helping VA improve cost visibility, forecasting accuracy, investment planning, and data-driven decision-making in a complex, multi-vendor environment. This position is fully remote, located in the United States.
