Senior Manager, Financial Reporting

• Oversee the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, as well as investor communications such as press releases, investor presentations, and other investor conference materials, in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations • Own GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists and tie-out binders in compliance with the Company’s SOX controls • Oversee the preparation of internal financial reporting packages, including performing financial and trend analyses and drafting related commentary and internal management and board reporting • Own month-end close for technical accounting areas, including capitalization of internally developed software and review direct reports’ close deliverables and workpapers • Review and write technical accounting memorandums and provide guidance on U.S. GAAP matters, including internally developed software, adoption of new accounting standards, impairment analyses, valuations, and the accounting impact of new agreements • Update and review internal control documentation and support the Company’s SOX compliance efforts • Primary contact with the external auditors including managing audit requests and driving timely resolution of open items across the quarterly reviews and annual audit. • Partner effectively and proactively with Legal, Accounting, Tax, Strategic Finance, and Investor Relations on financial reporting matters • Manage, coach, and develop a team of four (two direct reports), fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning • Assist with special projects as needed
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant financial reporting experience; Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred
- CPA or similar professional designation required
- 4+ years of people management experience, with a demonstrated ability to develop talent and build high-performing teams
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and SOX 404, with experience performing and reviewing technical research
- Proven experience leading SEC filing preparation (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and managing quarter-end close processes at a public company
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional dependencies simultaneously
- Sound judgment, critical thinking, and a disciplined approach to delivering complete and accurate results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment
- Proficiency with Workiva required; experience with NetSuite and SOX compliance is a plus
- Curiosity about LLMs and a willingness to use it. You don’t need to be an expert, but you should have started exploring tools like Claude or ChatGPT and be motivated to keep learning. We’re building toward an AI-native finance function and want someone who’s excited about that.
