Telecommunications Documentation Specialist I

• General project intake and setup to ensure related documentation is properly stored. • Process project documentation to create project related tracking tools and testing. • Process incoming daily reports from field staff to ensure proper project allocation, accurate coding, and supporting documentation are received. • Review supporting documentation to ensure quality and accuracy. • Create, process, and update as-built maps throughout the project lifecycle. • Review and process field logs to ensure that work is properly entered into the system. • Assist with documentation of procedures and standardization of workflows to optimize efficiency. • Provide clear, accurate, and timely communication to relevant stakeholders. • Identify and report all workflow issues, operational inefficiencies, risks, and inadequate standards. • Identify unmitigated risk and escalate significant risk to the Operations Support Manager. • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
  • Must have at least 2 years of U.S. based fiber design interpretations experience.
  • Must have 1 or more years of working knowledge using Google Earth.
  • Must be able to read and understand splice guides or other splicing documentation.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Manage time effectively and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Able to adapt to changes and work confidently in a high-pressure/high-energy environment.
  • Effective problem-solver with critical-thinking abilities to address and overcome challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to take initiative, make decisions and handle various tasks simultaneously while working efficiently, effectively, and independently under minimal supervision.
