Job Description

Account Executive

Janea Systems

• Own the full sales cycle for inbound and self-sourced Memurai opportunities, from first contact to close. • Qualify, advance, and close a pipeline of SMB and mid-market enterprise leads across developer and IT buyer personas. • Collaborate with Marketing to strengthen lead-generation channels, drive outbound campaigns, and share field feedback on messaging and content gaps. • Follow up on leads from channel partners, resellers, and technology ecosystem partners. • Actively contribute to the design and documentation of Memurai’s sales process, including playbooks, qualification frameworks, and CRM hygiene practices. • Represent Memurai in online communities, partner conversations, and customer calls with professionalism and technical credibility. • Own the customer renewal process, including proactive outreach, health checks, and negotiation to drive retention and reduce churn. • Identify expansion and upsell opportunities within existing customer accounts.

Job Requirements

  • 3–7 Years of B2B SaaS Sales Experience: A proven track record in a quota-carrying role selling technical products to developers, DevOps teams, or IT infrastructure buyers, with a demonstrated ability to close both inbound and self-sourced opportunities.
  • Technical Domain Knowledge: Experience selling data infrastructure products — such as Redis, MongoDB, Percona, Couchbase, or similar database and caching solutions — is a strong plus.
  • CRM Proficiency: Comfortable working with Pipedrive, Zoho, or comparable CRM and sales tools to maintain accurate pipeline data, activity records, and sound hygiene practices.
  • Sales Process Collaboration: A genuine willingness to improve sales processes, not just follow them — including contributing to playbooks, qualification frameworks, and go-to-market documentation.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the confidence to lead discovery calls, technical qualification, and deal navigation without a large support team behind you.
  • Startup Experience: Comfortable in early-stage, fast-paced, and evolving environments where adaptability is not optional — it’s essential.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with benefits, paid vacation, and sick leave.
  • The opportunity to work with a globally diverse team of top Sales & Marketing challenges.
  • Ultra-flexible working conditions – we provide a generous office equipment allowance so you can work from home, we can also provide you with a desk at an office/coworking facility near you or use both. No business travel necessary.
  • An enjoyable, start-up work environment, with excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Flexible working hours – as a remote-first company, our focus has always been on getting the job done well, not when or where it gets done.
  • The opportunity to shape a sales function from the ground up — with real influence over how Memurai goes to market.
