• Prepare and support full-cycle financial statements • Support month-end and year-end close processes • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial reports and supporting schedules • Provide variance analysis against departmental budgets and identify key financial trends • Review Profit & Loss accounts to ensure proper coding, allocations, and classification across departments • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis • Support accruals, prepaids, intercompany activity, and other month-end accounting entries • Help ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and properly documented • Support reconciliation processes related to deferred revenue and unbilled Accounts Receivable • Assist with revenue recognition for SaaS subscription, usage-based, recurring, or contract-based billing models • Review revenue-related data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper support • Assist with accounting treatments related to SaaS, technology, or recurring revenue operations • Maintain accurate reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation • Help manage accounting processes related to fixed assets, including additions, disposals, amortization, and depreciation • Support equity-related accounting processes, including stock-based compensation or ESOP-related accounting, when applicable • Assist with sales tax and economic nexus research across U.S. states and international jurisdictions • Support year-end close, audit requests, and compliance-related processes • Contribute to finance team projects, systems improvements, and operational initiatives • Identify process inefficiencies and proactively recommend scalable solutions • Support workflow optimization as the company continues to grow • Communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders • Support internal teams with accounting-related questions and financial reporting needs
Job Requirements
- Professional accounting designation required, such as Colombian Public Accountant certification, CPA, or equivalent
- 3–6+ years of accounting experience
- Strong experience with financial statements, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience with U.S. accounting processes, U.S.-based companies, or international accounting environments strongly preferred
- Experience in SaaS, technology, startups, subscription-based businesses, or recurring revenue models preferred
- Understanding of deferred revenue, accruals, unbilled AR, and revenue recognition
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and meet deadlines
- Strong English communication skills required for cross-functional collaboration
