The Application Support Team is part of the IT Organization and serves as a centralized organization responsible for the support of 300+ applications across PG&E's IT landscape. Key organization responsibilities include application support and technical development where the team is an extension of the Product and Enterprise Solutions Team. Position Summary The Data & Analytics team in the IT Application Support department is seeking an Expert IT Business Systems Analyst (BA) with extensive experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse delivery. The Expert IT Business Systems Analyst (BA) ensures delivery of vendor services, which meet or exceed client expectations. The BA is an integral strategic partner and will work closely with vendor resources and internal PG&E stakeholders to deliver technology solutions for Data & Analytics. BA should have a deep understanding of business intelligence and data warehousing, should ensure user adoption of Enterprise Data & Analytics platforms and technologies and adherence to governance processes. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on approximately once per week, or more, based on business needs or company requirements. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory and will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and hiring leader. Job Responsibilities Client Support and Consulting: - Provide expert consultation for business and IT stakeholders. - Anticipate client concerns and questions, and provide proactive, timely and professional client-focused communications. - Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries or escalate as appropriate. - Work with service delivery leads to conduct periodic reviews of all service levels - Ability to effectively build cross-discipline relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Analysis of current process and recommendations for process improvements - Review design and technical specification documents for alignment with business solutions. - Comply with SOX and other standard process requirements. Application Support Leadership - Ability to effectively ensure delivery of vendor services (operations, maintenance and testing) which meet or exceed client requirements - Implement, maintain and report on metrics and measures (contractual and other) to ensure clear visibility into the performance of the IT solutions - Maintain understanding of provider capabilities - Work with providers to define standard processes and tools for all services - Review providers' suggestions for services changes/improvements - Establish performance benchmarking for application portfolio by line of business - Maintain Provider performance report and updates SEO and PG&E leadership, as required - Work with service delivery leads to conduct periodic reviews of all service levels Project Delivery - Serves as key technical resource within the area of specialization. - Act as a key contributor to the business cases for complex IT projects and initiatives. - Identify, propose and influence IT solutions to complex business problems; negotiate requirements and deliver deliveries with multiple business clients. - Evaluate and document alternatives that will provide the most effective solutions to complex business problems. - Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance with broad scope and high complexity. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be between the minimum and midpoint listed below. The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above.
