This role will focus on researching marketplace structure, top sellers, emerging brands, and beauty categories where returns may create future partnership or client opportunities. This is an ideal role for someone curious about global e-commerce, digital marketplaces, category expansion, and data-driven insights. - Conduct in-depth research on a leading social commerce marketplace, including structure, business model, category mix, and key trends. - Identify and analyze the largest sellers by category, with attention to beauty, personal care, scale, growth, and product focus. - Assess whether top sellers and beauty brands operate off-platform businesses and evaluate their potential as future customers. - Research and compile emerging companies active on the platform and in beauty categories relevant to returns. - Track notable global brands in social commerce and beauty retail, summarizing their strategies and positioning. - Synthesize findings into clear reports, summaries, and presentations, including merchant profiles, category maps, and go-to-market implications. - Provide ongoing insights to build foundational knowledge of social commerce, beauty merchant needs, and return/disposal considerations.
