Role Description We are looking for a Staff Developer Advocate. In this role, you will be responsible to: - Create sample projects, tutorials, videos, blog posts, and livestreams that demonstrate Workato’s developer capabilities. - Inspire developers with interesting, relevant, and fun content that speaks to them and draws them into the Workato ecosystem. - Build and scale developer programs — including ambassador programs, webinar series, and community initiatives — that extend reach beyond first-party content. - Speak at first-party events, third-party events, and developer meetups. Host workshops in the community and with internal customer communities. - Develop and share a strong clear voice that the community trusts. - Collect developer feedback and advocate for it internally. - Own the technical sample and demo library — designing, building, and maintaining a body of work that covers key developer use cases, reflects current platform capabilities, and sets the quality bar for developer-facing technical content. - Contribute code and docs to open-source repos. Qualifications - 10+ years of combined software engineering and developer relations experience, with a track record of owning programs end-to-end. - Proficient in Python or TypeScript and familiar with LangChain-style frameworks. - Strong demo and content-creation skills including code samples, videos, and technical tutorials. - Demonstrated ability to connect developer advocacy work to business outcomes — pipeline, adoption, or product direction. - Passionate and experienced teacher who loves helping others succeed. - Clear communicator comfortable on stage or camera. - Collaborative, low-ego attitude. • Design and build platform-level test infrastructure for iOS and Android that runs continuously, scales automatically, and surfaces signals without human intervention. • Apply AI-driven failure classification to reduce noise, prioritize signal, and cut time-to-fix on test failures across mobile suites. • Partner with the AI Native platform team to ship net-new skills that replace categories of manual engineering work. • Build and maintain in-app instrumentation for mobile performance, quality signal, and test execution telemetry. • Design data pipelines that feed quality signals into dashboards, alert systems, and AI analysis layers, providing the org with real-time visibility into test health and app quality. • Own the infrastructure used to baseline, monitor, and debug mobile API behavior in CI. • Partner with Mobile, Backend, and Release Engineering teams to embed AI-native quality practices throughout the development lifecycle — from intent to production. • Contribute to the design and rollout of agentic quality automation: systems that act on quality signals rather than just report them. • Raise the pod’s AI-native capability — documenting what works, improving shared workflows, and helping others develop the judgment to direct AI effectively.

• Steward Monorepo DX & Quality Tooling: In close alignment with core DX teammates and the Architecture team, steward the technical direction of our backend TypeScript monorepo, taking primary ownership of build orchestration, code quality tooling (linting, formatting, static analysis), and inner-loop tooling that supports both human and automated development. • Design and Build Platform Tooling: Create monorepo scaffolding, shared libraries, and code generation patterns that make it trivial for any contributor to keep backend services healthy and aligned with current standards. • Optimize the Test & Feedback Loop: Partner with quality assurance stakeholders to optimize how test suites run within our build graphs. Your focus will be on the execution efficiency of these loops (e.g., test sharding, build graph caching, and feedback speed) to keep developer wait-times low. • Support and Optimize Monorepo CI Pipelines: Collaborate with our dedicated CI engineering resources to ensure backend and monorepo execution pipelines are fast, deterministic, and deliver direct feedback back to developer environments. • Drive Repeatable and Safe Automation: Build tooling, CLI scripts, and configurations that can be safely executed repeatedly by either engineers or automated environments without introducing unintended side effects or configuration drift. • Partner Across Engineering: Collaborate closely with fellow developers, the Architecture team, and quality engineering stakeholders to support backend patterns, identify build/test friction, run developer surveys, and drive platform-wide tool adoption.
