Senior Financial Integration Developer

Ballard Spahr LLP

• Monitor and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data across all system integrations, conducting regular audits and validations. • Continuously evaluate current processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement, implementing best practices to enhance the firm’s financial system efficiency. • Serve as the primary contact for the accounting department, addressing user inquiries and resolving incidents promptly to minimize disruption. • Collaborate with IT and technical teams to develop, refine, and finalize integration specifications between the firm’s financial systems and other platforms. • Manage the timely distribution of financial reports and ensure access to reporting tools, adapting methodologies to align with the evolving needs of the business. • Respond to specific requests from attorneys and firm personnel for accounting-related information, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. • Assist the finance team in conducting financial analyses and providing insights for special projects, contributing to informed decision-making. • Provide training and ongoing support to users of the financial system, ensuring they are equipped to utilize the tools effectively and efficiently.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Preferred experience with accounting systems, especially in law firms or professional service organizations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (Management Studio, Transact-SQL, Reporting Services, Integration Services).
  • Strong programming skills in VB.Net, C#, and Python.
  • Experience integrating financial systems in cloud environments, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric for unified analytics and data integration.
  • Solid understanding of XML, XSLT, XPATH, SOAP, and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of relational database design and various integration tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of IT Service Management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and propose innovative solutions.
