SQL Database Administrator
Ovation Healthcare
• Perform security updates to SQL stand alone and clustered databases in coordination with Operation support staff and SME • Test and Implement security controls in coordination with the Security Team • Review Qualys Vulnerability Management findings and partner with server administrators to drive closure validation and reporting • Maintain metrics for remediation progress, vulnerability aging for assets, and hardening compliance; support service level agreement reporting • Work with SME, Operations team and/or vendors to document maintenance windows • Act as a liaison between database users, technical teams, application administrators, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and data management • Troubleshoot database issues, set up log files and schedule backups
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems/Sciences, or a related field, with an emphasis on database design, development, and data management
- Excellent communication skills, healthcare knowledge preferred
- Strong English language competency
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Database Administrator
- 3+ years of hands-on support of SQL Server Clustering
- Experience working with Windows Server OS
