• Develop and maintain database schemas, stored procedures, and SQL queries • Optimise database performance and resolve bottlenecks • Monitor database health, availability, and system stability • Support database backup, recovery, and replication processes • Collaborate with development teams on data-related requirements • Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents and production issues • Implement best practices for database security and reliability • Contribute to database migration and modernisation initiatives • Automate routine database administration tasks • Maintain clear technical documentation and operational procedures • Participate in improving internal database standards and processes • Support continuous improvement of database infrastructure and performance

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Hands-on experience with MySQL or MariaDB
  • Experience with query optimisation and database performance tuning
  • Understanding of database design, normalisation, and indexing strategies
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure SQL or AWS RDS
  • Experience with backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Knowledge of database monitoring and observability tools
  • Basic scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English.
