Role Description We are looking for a Senior Unity Technical Artist who can turn raw creative assets into polished, production-ready Unity content for a premium casual mobile game. This role goes beyond pure implementation. We need someone with a strong creative eye who can: - Build visual moments from scratch inside Unity - Improve game feel - Create animations - Work with both 2D and 3D assets - Bring gameplay, UI, rewards, boosters, and monetization flows to final in-engine quality The client is an international game studio developing mobile casual and puzzle games with a strong focus on high production quality and global scalability. The team specializes in transforming hyper-casual concepts into more polished casual products, combining engaging core gameplay with deep meta systems such as progression, live ops, monetization, and retention features. Qualifications - Strong hands-on experience as a Unity Technical Artist - Experience shipping or developing mobile games or mobile apps - Strong understanding of Unity asset pipeline, prefab creation, animation setup, and visual implementation - Ability to create polished animations directly inside Unity from scratch - Solid experience with UI animation, 2D/3D implementation, particles, materials, shaders, and in-engine visual polish - Experience working with 3D models inside Unity, including import setup, materials, optimization, lighting, and presentation - Good understanding of mobile optimization and low-end device constraints - Strong eye for polish, timing, readability, player feedback, and game feel - Ability to independently explore how things work and solve implementation problems end to end - Comfortable working in fast production cycles with evolving creative direction Requirements - Experience with puzzle, casual, or hyper-casual mobile games - Experience with stylized premium casual game visuals - Shader Graph or HLSL - URP, lighting, and post-processing experience - VFX Graph or advanced particle work - C# for editor tools or pipeline automation - Experience with 3D modeling, rigging, or 3D animation - Experience improving asset integration workflows - Experience working with AI-assisted creative or production workflows Benefits - People-first management with minimal bureaucracy - A friendly company culture, proven by employees who choose to return - Flexible working hours - Full financial and legal support for independent contractors - Free English classes, with native speakers or Ukrainian teachers - Dedicated HR support Your day-to-day in this position - Convert raw art assets into clean, reusable Unity prefabs - Set up imports, slicing, pivots, materials, shaders, animations, VFX, and prefab hierarchy - Create polished UI and in-game visual moments such as popups, reward flows, chest openings, booster activations, item collection sequences, and gameplay feedback - Create animations from scratch inside Unity when needed, including UI motion, gameplay moments, transitions, and reward sequences - Work with 2D assets, Spine/sprite-based assets, and 3D models inside Unity - Implement, adjust, and polish 3D assets, materials, lighting, shaders, and simple in-engine animation setups - Improve visual quality with motion, VFX, lighting, post-processing, shaders, timing, and player-facing feedback - Ensure visuals are clear, responsive, and performant on mobile devices, including lower-end devices - Profile and optimize rendering, overdraw, memory usage, draw calls, materials, textures, and asset setup - Investigate technical and visual issues deeply, understand root causes, and implement practical solutions - Build scalable workflows, tools, and reusable systems that improve content integration - Work closely with art, design, product, and engineering to bring features to final mobile game quality Our next steps - ✅ Intro call with a Recruiter - ✅ Client interview - ✅ Home assignment - ✅ Offer
