Role Description As Technical Product Lead for the Customer Data Platform (CDP), you operate at the intersection of product, architecture, and engineering. You are the technical lead for the CDP domain, responsible for translating product and business goals into scalable data platform capabilities. You work closely with the overarching Product Owner and Principal Architect and act as the technical connector between CDP teams, stakeholders, and the wider product landscape. You ensure that the CDP remains a robust, scalable, and future-proof foundation for all customer journey use cases. What You’ll Do - Own the technical direction of the Customer Data Platform (CDP) across all products - Translate business and product requirements into clear, scalable CDP architecture and solutions - Act as the technical lead and senior point of contact within the CDP team, guiding design and implementation decisions - Align stakeholders, Product Owners, Architects, and development teams on CDP scope, feasibility, and trade-offs - Ensure high-quality data modeling, integrations, and event flows across the platform - Drive cross-team alignment on shared data models, identity resolution, integrations, and data pipelines - Break down complex data and integration challenges into well-structured technical solutions, identifying risks early - Support delivery by unblocking teams and ensuring efficient and high-quality CDP implementations - Safeguard scalability, performance, data integrity, and maintainability of the CDP - Act as the technical spokesperson for the CDP, clearly explaining constraints, timelines, and decisions - Continuously improve collaboration between product, data, and engineering teams, especially around CDP usage and capabilities Qualifications - Strong background as a software engineer, technical lead, or platform engineer, ideally with experience in data platforms or CDPs - Proven experience working with Customer Data Platforms, data ecosystems, or customer-centric architectures - Deep understanding of: - Distributed systems - Data pipelines and integrations - Scalable architectures - Ability to design and reason about data models, identity resolution, and event-driven systems - A strong product mindset, balancing business value with data platform scalability and sustainability - Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders - Experience leading or guiding teams in a multi-team, multi-product environment Nice to Have - Experience in CDP implementations or customer data ecosystems - Familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming platforms - Experience with high-scale, data-intensive systems - Background in marketing technology (MarTech) or personalization platforms What Success Looks Like - A robust, scalable, and well-architected Customer Data Platform supporting all products - Clear alignment between business goals and CDP capabilities - Development teams that feel supported, unblocked, and aligned on CDP usage - Strong consistency in data models, integrations, and architecture decisions - The CDP acting as a true foundation for customer journey orchestration Benefits - Make a direct impact on a critical platform (CDP) at the core of our product ecosystem - Real influence on technical direction, data architecture, and product quality - A culture built on ownership, trust, and thoughtful decision-making - Flexible, remote-friendly working environment - A team of smart, collaborative colleagues solving complex data challenges together In One Sentence You are the technical leader of the Customer Data Platform, ensuring that customer data becomes a scalable, reliable, and powerful foundation for all product innovation at Deployteq.
