Our focus areas include custom learning development, e-learning, and strategic human capital consulting. We foster a collaborative, fully remote environment where strategic thinking meets federal compliance. We value adaptability, continuous learning, and a deep understanding of the government contracting landscape. The Impact You'll Have As a Senior Recruiter at Team Carney, you will be the gateway to building teams that directly support critical federal programs, ensuring we hire top-tier talent who share our passion for performance acceleration. You will take the lead in sourcing, screening, and hiring for highly specialized, cleared roles, building robust pipelines for key positions like Instructional Designers, 508 Trusted Testers, and Training Managers. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) - Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruiting lifecycle from intake meetings with hiring managers to offer negotiation and onboarding. - Specialized Sourcing: Proactively source passive candidates for niche technical and strategic HR management roles within the government contracting space. - Clearance Navigation: Navigate the complexities of hiring candidates with active security clearances (e.g., Secret, Top Secret) and manage the nuances of federal background checks. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with hiring managers in the e-learning and instructional design spaces, translating complex technical and clearance requirements into effective, targeted sourcing strategies. - Candidate Experience: Ensure a "white-glove" candidate experience, recognizing that the recruitment process is the first reflection of Team Carney's high standards. - Compliance & Best Practices: Maintain strict compliance with federal hiring guidelines (e.g., OFCCP) and state-specific salary transparency laws. The "Whole Person" We're Looking For - Agile & Adaptable: You have the agility to pivot seamlessly between different types of requisitions—from specialized technical roles to strategic management positions. - Exceptional Communicator: You possess strong interpersonal skills and can build trust quickly with both hiring managers and prospective candidates. - Strategic Thinker: You look beyond the immediate requisition to understand long-term team dynamics and organizational goals. - Empathetic Listener: You evaluate candidates not just on their resumes, but on their cultural add, potential for growth, and alignment with our core values. - Problem Solver: You creatively navigate tight talent markets and overcome roadblocks in the hiring process with resilience. What You Bring (Qualifications) - Education: Bachelor’s (BS/BA) degree required. - Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in full-cycle recruiting. - Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in government contracting, with a deep understanding of federal hiring processes and compliance. - Clearance Expertise: Tangible experience navigating clearance verification (e.g., confirming active Secret, Top Secret, or DHS ICE Public Trust statuses), understanding the timelines associated with clearance crossover or reciprocity, and actively guiding candidates through complex federal background investigation prerequisites. - Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in modern recruitment tech stacks. Experience with our primary ATS, JazzHR, is a significant plus, along with innovative sourcing tools and clearance-specific job boards. - Forward-Thinking (AI): Knowledgeable about Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the recruitment space; you lean into working with AI and are eager to leverage emerging tools to enhance sourcing, streamline operations, and improve the candidate experience. - Remote Work: Experience thriving and effectively managing time in a fully remote work environment. Why Team Carney? - Work-Life Harmony: A hybrid schedule in Linthicum, MD (1 day/week onsite) that respects your time. - Get Out and Learn: We give you $200/year to learn anything—from pottery to coding. - Get Out and Run: We give you $200/year to stay active in fitness events. - Invested in Your Future: $5,000 annual tuition assistance, student loan repayment, and 401k matching. - Full Support: 11 paid holidays, 6 weeks of paid parental leave, and premium BCBS medical/dental/vision options.
