Lead, Product Design

MoneyHero Group

Role Description This is a fully remote role to be based in Malaysia. We will prioritize candidates who are based in Malaysia and do not require a work visa sponsorship. About the Job MoneyHero Group (MHG) is hiring a Product Design Lead who is an equal parts product thinker, systems designer, and AI-powered creator. You’ll shape intuitive, high-performing experiences that help millions across Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Taiwan make smarter financial decisions. - Design end-to-end product experiences - from problem framing and conceptual exploration to polished UI, prototypes, and developer-ready specs. - Use AI copilots as leverage, integrating tools like Claude, ChatGPT and Figma AI to ideate, generate flows, run UX writing, produce variants, analyze research, and accelerate production work. - Prototype rapidly to test hypotheses early, influence product direction, and align cross-functional teams. - Collaborate with product managers to shape problem statements, sharpen requirements, and bring clarity through design thinking and user-centered reasoning. - Own UX/UI for multiple markets and verticals, creating experiences across credit cards, loans, insurance, and more. - Design for conversion across both core product flows and growth surfaces = campaign pages, microsites, and high-impact landing experiences. - Apply and evolve our Figma design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability across platforms. - Integrate insights from analytics, experimentation, and user feedback to iterate and continuously improve user journeys. - Partner closely with engineers to ensure design intent carries through implementation and contribute to QA when needed. - Introduce, champion, and document AI-accelerated design practices to help the team work smarter, faster, and with higher quality. Leadership & People Management - Lead and inspire a small team of 2 Product Designers, providing the mentorship and guidance necessary to elevate their technical skills and creative thinking. - Deliver clear, actionable feedback and coach team members on how to navigate complex stakeholder requirements without compromising on design quality. - Actively support individual career growth by coaching designers in their craft, helping them refine their processes and expand their impact. - Establish high standards for design output by empowering the team to deliver user-centric solutions that meet both business goals and technical constraints. - Act as a core thought partner to senior leadership across Product, Data, and Engineering to bridge the gap between user experience and technical feasibility. Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design, with a portfolio showcasing both product features and marketing or growth work. - 2–3 years of leadership experience in leading design initiatives or small teams. - Proficient in Figma, with experience working with component libraries and modern design systems. - Strong understanding of interaction design, responsive layouts, and UX best practices. - Comfortable using AI tools as core extensions of your workflow, from ideation to production. - Bonus: Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or familiarity with engineering workflows. - Fluent in English; Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus. Requirements - A strong product mindset and a bias toward shipping meaningful impact—not just making screens look good. - A first-principles approach to problem-solving and the ability to influence PMs and stakeholders through clear reasoning, structured thinking, and evidence-backed design decisions. - Experience designing high-conversion, consumer-facing web or mobile experiences. - Comfort context-switching between deep product work and fast-turnaround campaign or growth projects. - Natural curiosity and enthusiasm for pushing the boundaries of what AI can enable in modern product design. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - especially when working with remote and cross-functional teams. Benefits - Annual leave, birthday leave, tenure leave, international remote work leave, and more. - Five-day work week, hybrid work arrangement or fully remote work set-up (depending on the location). - Professional trainings, career advancement and internal mobility opportunities. - Competitive benefits including insurance and mental wellness program.
