Job Description

Head of Solutions Engineering

Tamnoon

Join the visionary team at Tamnoon and help us shape the future of cloud security! The Solution Engineering Leader will be the technical face of Tamnoon in the market. This role combines deep security expertise, sales influence, and market narrative. The ideal candidate can stand in front of a CISO with authority, pressure-test competitive claims, and translate complex remediation challenges into compelling, revenue-generating solutions. This is not a supporting role — it is a leadership position responsible for driving technical win strategy, shaping how Tamnoon is positioned externally, and contributing to the roadmap and go-to-market motion.

Job Requirements

  • What you will get to do:
  • Sales & Field Leadership
  • Lead technical strategy in strategic and enterprise sales cycles.
  • Conduct executive briefings, live demos, architecture sessions, and whiteboard discussions.
  • Develop and maintain competitive playbooks, objection handling strategies, and field enablement materials.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to accelerate deal velocity and improve win rates.
  • Security & Vulnerability Management Expertise
  • Serve as an expert advisor on cloud security operations, vulnerability management, and Cloud native SecOps workflows.
  • Translate customer pain points into Tamnoon use cases and outcomes, grounded in operational reality.
  • Guide prospects through proof-of-concept engagements with credibility and clarity.
  • Market & Competitive Positioning
  • Build Tamnoon’s competitive narrative against established platforms and emerging challengers.
  • Participate in industry events, customer councils, analyst sessions, and strategic field conversations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the evolving remediation and exposure management landscape.
  • Product & GTM Influence
  • Feed customer and field insights directly into Product and GTM strategy.
  • Write solution briefs, technical narratives, and thought leadership content that supports pipeline and positioning.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to deliver effective launch messaging and solution storytelling.
  • What you will bring:
  • 7+ years in Solution Engineering, Technical Sales, or Sales Engineering in cybersecurity
  • Experience using or selling leading CNAPP platforms (Wiz,Orca, Upwind, etc).
  • Cloud fluent (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI): you actually know how to secure an S3 bucket —and you can talk network policies, public access blocks, encryption (KMS), IAM roles/policies, and the “how did this become a Sev-1?” chain of events without blinking.
  • You understand how SecOps teams run: scanners and signals (Tenable/Qualys/Rapid7), workflow (Jira/ServiceNow), detection + response ecosystems (Splunk/Sentinel/CrowdStrike/MDE)—and how remediation gets done when everyone’s busy and nothing is perfect.
  • Demo wizard + storyteller: you can run crisp live demos that don’t feel like a feature tour—tailored to persona, anchored in outcomes, and confident enough to handle the “wait, show me that again” moments.
  • Owns the technical win: runs discovery, whiteboards, exec briefings, architecture sessions, and POCs—and partners tightly with AEs to close.
  • Clear communicator with a builder mindset: you can ship demo scripts, solution briefs, reference architectures, POV decks, competitive teardowns, and objection-handling that make the field better tomorrow than it was today.
  • Nice to have:
  • You’ve been the first Tech Sales Enabler / SE / first SE leader before: you like blank canvases, you build repeatable plays, and you’ll eventually help hire and scale the team.
  • You can comfortably go deeper when needed: containers/Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), especially where it intersects with remediation.
  • You’ve got some signal in the ecosystem (network, writing, talks, community). Not required, but a plus.
  • Bonus “Leadership DNA” line
  • You’re comfortable being a standalone function today: you can juggle deals, build repeatable demo + POC motions, and lay the groundwork to scale a team later.

Benefits

  • In addition to base compensation, Tamnooners receive a competitive benefits package, including:
  • Flexible PTO, paid sick days, and paid parental leave
  • 401k plan
  • Excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance — 100% coverage for all employees
  • Health savings and flexible spending accounts
  • Remote First Community
  • Training and career development programs
  • Tamnoon is proud to be an equal-opportunity workplace and affirmative-action employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. If you need assistance or accommodations during the application process, please contact us at hr@tamnoon.io
