Role Description Swiftly now has contracts with over 200 transit agencies, and an increasing number of these agencies are mid-sized and large. Our goal is to grow that number, and Solutions Engineers play a critical role by balancing agency knowledge with a strong desire to help our prospective customers. We are looking for junior to mid-level Solutions Engineers. What You'll Do: - Lead the product demonstration portion of Swiftly demos for transit agencies, transit operators, consultancies, and potential partners. - Partner with the relevant Account Executive/Account Manager to develop and drive a particular agency's strategy, angle, and pitch to best demonstrate Swiftly’s value and overcome blockers. - Drive revenue growth by developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, building strong business cases, and providing technical expertise to support the sales process. - Organize and run 2-3 day onsite workshops, where we train agency staff and help them see Swiftly's value for mid-sized and large agencies. - Run pilot periods, including limited-time free agency access to Swiftly, with the goal of deriving quantitative savings and results to inform a strong business case for mid-sized and large agencies. - Quickly understand complex engineering concepts and effectively communicate them to technical and non-technical audiences. - Build and maintain productive, high-trust relationships with agency staff and internal teams, providing technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle. - Develop new tools and processes to assist with proving the value of Swiftly. - Serve as a technical resource and domain expert for internal teams. - Provide accurate, relevant first-line technical responses during all phases of the sales cycle. - Participate in sharing learnings and best practices with the SE team and beyond. Identify pain points and potential improvements for the function. - Represent Swiftly at conferences and events. Qualifications - You love transit and have 3+ years of experience working at or with a transit agency. - You bring an understanding of the following topics: transit passenger information, planning, operations, and data standards. - You are very analytical and love data. - You are very strategic and love solving problems. - You’re excited to partner with transit agencies and help them solve their transit-related issues. - You are a strong and proactive communicator and are energized by spending the day speaking with and listening to our prospective customers. - You are capable of finding creative methods of helping our prospective customers find the value in Swiftly. - You are very organized and can manage communications with multiple departments at multiple transit agencies simultaneously. - You are a tireless investigator. When an issue arises, you own it until resolution. - You are comfortable in ambiguous situations and can work autonomously to creatively solve problems. - You are able to travel on average once a month to meet agencies and attend conferences around North America. Today, over 200 transit agencies in 12 countries rely on Swiftly to improve on-time performance by up to 40% and increase passenger information accuracy by up to 50%. The result is better service reliability, increased ridership, and more efficient transit operations. Even though Swiftly's HQ office is located in San Francisco, CA, we are open to candidates in most locations across the U.S. as well as Ontario and British Columbia, Canada.
