Role Description This is a remote position, all candidates must be able to work within the United States legally. Salary position: Up to $120,000 per year, depending on experience. The Electrical BIM Manager is responsible for the delivery, leadership, and scalability of electrical BIM services at BIMTM. This role blends technical expertise, people management, estimating ownership, and operational oversight. - Oversee electrical BIM coordination across multiple commercial construction projects - Ensure models reflect constructible routing, code-compliant clearances, and installation intent - Guide teams through complex coordination challenges including congested ceilings, electrical rooms, risers, and service pathways - Ensure approved electrical equipment submittals are accurately incorporated into BIM models - Align BIM deliverables with electrical construction, prefabrication, and installation schedules - Serve as an escalation point for technical, coordination, or delivery issues - Lead electrical BIM estimating and bid development for new projects - Review RFPs, drawings, and project requirements to define BIM scope and effort - Develop labor forecasts, pricing assumptions, and delivery strategies - Identify risks, exclusions, and clarifications to produce accurate, defensible bids - Partner with operations and leadership to price projects competitively - Support smooth hand off from estimating to project delivery - Directly manage Electrical BIM Leads and Specialists - Set clear expectations for performance, accountability, and technical quality - Coach and mentor team members on electrical systems, BIM workflows, and coordination best practices - Conduct regular 1:1s, performance feedback, and development planning - Support hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews in partnership with HR - Own and enforce BIMTM electrical BIM standards, templates, and workflows - Ensure consistent QA/QC across electrical coordination and prefab deliverables - Review models and drawings at key milestones to ensure accuracy and constructability - Identify recurring issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives - Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for advanced electrical BIM coordination - Maintain strong relationships with electrical contractors, GCs, and project stakeholders - Participate in high-level coordination meetings as needed - Support forecasting of workload, staffing capacity, and delivery health - Contribute to scalable BIM processes, documentation, and training programs - Provide technical insight to support business development and growth Qualifications - 7+ years of electrical BIM / VDC experience in commercial construction - Proven experience leading electrical coordination from preconstruction through fabrication and installation - Demonstrated experience managing teams and overseeing multiple BIM projects - Experience supporting or leading BIM estimating and proposal development - Expert proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360) - Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction documents, submittals, RFIs, and prefab workflows - Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills - Experience working with remote or distributed teams - Degree not required; relevant hands-on experience in electrical construction, BIM, VDC, or coordination will be strongly considered in place of formal education.
