• Manage indirect tax compliance, including sales and use tax and other transaction-based taxes across multiple jurisdictions. • Oversee property tax filings, assessments, and related schedules for development and operating projects. • Oversee state income tax compliance, including reviewing returns, managing apportionment methodologies, and analyzing state tax positions. • Review and prepare responses and supporting documentation for state and local tax agency notices and audits. • Monitor changes in indirect tax laws and regulations. • Evaluate, analyze, and recommend equipment and design specifications to external suppliers and internal Procurement partners based on technical design of the project. • Review and support the creation of photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage production estimates using commercial software programs like PVsyst or in-house models. • Lead development of in-house models and provide guidance on evolving best practices for model assumptions uncertainty assessment. • Lead Independent Engineer (IE) due diligence including contract management, reviewing IE reports, IE energy assessments, and providing feedback as needed. • Provide SME expertise support on diligence logs and calls with IE and bank partners. • Provide subject matter expertise in a variety of areas and shape department best practices for Owner Engineering review and approval. • Provide technical review, input, and risk assessment, and lead technical negotiations for key contracts and agreements including Interconnection, Equipment Procurement, Power Purchase, EPC, and O&M. • Develop technical specifications for engineering design guidelines. • Serve as SME in discussions with contractors.
