Role Description The Coordinator, EDI Solutions & Business Integration serves as the North American organizational expert and process owner for all end‑to‑end Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations. This role ensures seamless integration between Haleon, third‑party EDI providers, and trading partners, enabling efficient, compliant, and timely exchange of electronic business documents. The EDI Manager collaborates closely with IT, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and external partners to maintain high‑quality data flows, resolve issues, and support continuous process improvement. Process Ownership & Strategic Leadership - Serve as process lead and subject matter expert managing the full EDI lifecycle for North America. - Develop, implement, and continuously refine the EDI strategy, including integration roadmaps, process improvements, and long‑term capability enhancements. - Manage implementation for new customer integrations, ensuring compliance with all requirements. - Evaluate and determine the optimal connectivity method (direct connection vs. VAN) based on business value, cost, and operational needs. - Lead the design and mapping of EDI documents, prepare test scenarios and data, and coordinate all testing efforts with trading partners. - Analyze EDI transactions, generate reports, and collaborate with service providers and application teams to resolve issues. - Maintain strong working knowledge of SAP, including partner profiles, table configurations, and master data dependencies. - Execute order‑to‑cash process testing in relevant environments to validate end‑to‑end EDI flows. Cross-Functional & External Partnership Management - Cultivate and manage strong relationships with trading partners, provide leadership in resolving complex issues and drive continuous operational excellence. - Manage daily production monitoring activities, ensuring timely and accurate electronic data exchange across all business channels. - Perform and support testing of all EDI transmissions. - Maintain documentation for trading partner setup, specs, requirements, and contact directory. - Liaise with Technical EDI teams for system implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support. - Provide guidance to Haleon end‑users—including Customer Service, Master Data, and other functions—to ensure SAP data supports seamless EDI transactions. - Maintain strong understanding of market‑specific regulations, collaborating with BU Tech, Supply Chain, and Procurement as required. - Collaborate with IT developers to design and implement new EDI document types as business needs evolve. EDI Hygiene, Monitoring, and Troubleshooting - Govern all inbound and outbound EDI documents—including functional acknowledgments—and resolve content, mapping, and transmission issues. - Manage service calls and deliver timely technical support to maintain operational continuity. - Lead daily troubleshooting activities, assess opportunities for automation, and support internal and external technical teams with data transfer challenges. - Oversee business continuity planning and execution during system outages or major disruptions. - Coordinate certificate renewals across EDI systems and partner platforms. - Monitor EDI mailboxes for system alerts, technical messages, and customer communications. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree. - 5 years of experience. - Strong understanding and demonstrated application of EDI technology and its business applicability. - Direct experience with EDI partners and users. - Middleware and SAP skills are necessary. - Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications - Advanced Degree. - Project management experience.
