Key Account Manager

Role Description We are looking for a motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to join our Foodology (Food Ingredients) team! Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building a long-term, value-based relationship with accounts, expanding them for further business and improving the margin they create while reducing the time and costs of managing them. This area offers growth potential in an exciting and dynamic environment. - Improve Univar’s position within each account using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account. - Prospect for new business by conducting sales calls to grow the size of the territory actively. - Focus on customer retention and overall customer satisfaction. - Provide customer technical support and consultant services to increase our overall value to the customer. - Maintain a clear, updated view of your sales pipeline. - Set pricing and service levels, maintain and coordinate customer quotations, or provide necessary information for local branches to do so. - Coordinate with Purchasing and Operations to ensure proper inventory levels. - Demonstrate commitment to safety, both personal and of your colleagues. Qualifications - Minimum of 5 years of sales experience managing accounts in a B2B or distribution industry. - Sales experience with Food Ingredients (raw chemicals) in manufacturing, distribution, or the chemical industry is highly preferred. - A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience. - Ability to nurture an extensive network of contacts. - Deep understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market or the needs/challenges of assigned accounts. - Strong communication skills and the ability to develop strong, successful business relationships with customers and internal teammates. - Excellent digital literacy, including MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com. - Strong business acumen, including an understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users. - Effective negotiation skills. - Ability to travel within the assigned territory. - You are proficient in English and Czech/Slovak language skills. Where you'll work This is a home-based opportunity. Covered territory: Czech and Slovakia. Preference for candidates in Czech: Prague, Brno, Olomuniec and in Slovakia: Bratislava, Trenczyn – with preference of Czech locations.
