Role Description We are looking for a highly autonomous Senior BI & Data Integration Lead to act as the technical right hand for a growing consulting team serving SMB clients. This role combines senior-level Power BI development, data integration, automation, and business analysis. You will work independently during the initial transition period, then help structure workflows, documentation, and mentoring practices for future junior data team members. The dashboards and reports you build will support executive and CEO-level decisions, so accuracy, structure, and analytical rigor are essential. - Translate business briefs in English into clear technical plans, execution steps, and deliverables. - Work independently during the first 2–3 months, managing active data projects from raw data review to final dashboard delivery. - Design analytical data architectures, including dimensional models, star schemas, table relationships, and transformation strategies. - Build real-time or near real-time Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions for executive decision-making. - Develop advanced DAX measures and structure scalable Power BI semantic models. - Define, calculate, and validate KPI logic such as cost of goods, waste, loss index, profitability by product/client/period, cash flow, and operational KPIs. - Use Microsoft 365 tools to automate data intake, processing, and reporting workflows. - Assess which tools, licenses, and technical resources are required for each project and advise on the most efficient setup. - Review unstructured raw data files, identify inconsistencies, document gaps, and ask the right questions before moving forward. - Validate all figures before delivery, ensuring zero calculation errors in client-facing dashboards and reports. - Document assumptions, sources, formulas, data logic, workflows, and technical decisions for long-term maintainability. - Establish working standards such as file structure, naming conventions, Git workflow, and reusable project kickoff templates. - Support the future growth of the data team by helping onboard, delegate to, and supervise junior/intermediate profiles and additional support roles. - Provide technical mentoring, feedback, and quality control once the team expands. Qualifications - Expert-level Power BI Desktop experience, including advanced data modeling, DAX, semantic layers, and row-level security. - Expert knowledge of dimensional modeling and star schema design. - Advanced SQL skills, ideally with PostgreSQL and/or T-SQL. - Advanced Power Query / M language skills. - Intermediate Python / pandas experience for ETL and data transformation. - Intermediate Git experience, including branches, pull requests, and code reviews. - Intermediate Microsoft 365 knowledge, including SharePoint and Power Automate. - Experience using automation tools and workflows; Make experience is a plus. - Strong ability to build real-time or near real-time dashboards and automated reporting processes. - Experience working with complex business data across SMB sectors such as manufacturing, distribution, professional services, transport, or similar environments. - Ability to perform basic business analysis, including waste, losses, profitability, and operational performance calculations. - Strong technical judgment to recommend the right tools, licenses, and data architecture for each project. - Ability to read unstructured raw data files and quickly identify the underlying business logic. - Strong written English communication skills for briefs, documentation, feedback, and reporting. - Extremely autonomous, organized, and structured; comfortable working without close supervision. - Curious and proactive mindset, with the confidence to ask questions when data is ambiguous or incomplete. - Absolute rigor with numbers; deliverables must be fully validated before submission. - Ability to flag risks, gaps, inconsistencies, and assumptions before they become delivery issues. - Pedagogical mindset and ability to explain complex analytical concepts to junior team members. - Startup mindset: adaptable, fast-moving, and comfortable building structure from scratch. Role Description The Business Intelligence Report Developer/Product BA is responsible for building and maintaining complex interactive data visualizations, online dashboards and related report output using Tableau and other BI/reporting tools for analytics product line. - Interacts with product leaders to understand the vision and direction of analytics product line. - Designs, develops, and supports interactive dashboards and reports that align with product vision. - Recommends dashboards per Tableau (or other BI tool) visualization features. - Draws upon full range of BI platform technologies to design and implement proof of concept solutions and create advanced BI visualizations. - Performs acceptance testing of new reports, programs, and models. - Documents business requirements and methods used to generate work output. - Drives analytic innovation and best practices. - Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or equivalent experience or combination of education and experience. - Extensive (advanced level) experience working with business intelligence data visualization tools with specialization on Tableau, ThoughtSpot, and PowerBI preferred. - Strong knowledge in data warehousing concepts. - Experience with database query tools - develop and execute queries. - Experience with databases, data retrieval, and manipulation. - Understanding of ETL preferred. - Experience with Microsoft BI stack preferred. - Strong data analysis experience. - Strong understanding and ability to pull data together, analyze it, and present it.
