Fund Accounting Operations Support
Belltower Fund Group
• Support day-to-day tax operations under the guidance of senior team members • Assist with the preparation, filing, and organization of U.S. federal and state tax returns, including extensions • Support information reporting processes, including Form 1099 preparation and filing • Help track, organize, and support responses to federal and state tax notices • Perform tax-related operational tasks tied to fund accounting, such as recording and reconciling transactions from a tax perspective • Maintain and update client and fund tax data across systems, including assisting with historical data cleanup • Help prepare and organize tax documentation and workpapers • Coordinate with internal teams to gather information needed for tax compliance and reporting • Learn to read and apply IRS forms, instructions, and guidance in support of tax operations • Contribute to process improvements and documentation as the tax team scales.
Job Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in accounting, tax, fund administration, or a related role (internships welcome)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of federal and state tax concepts
- Interest in partnership taxation and investment fund structures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with guidance and support
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working and learning new systems and tools
- CPA eligibility or progress toward certification (a plus, not required).
