Role Description As a Prescribing Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in our mission by reviewing online dermatology consultations and prescribing topical and oral medications for both skin and hair consultations. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of pharmacists, nurses, and doctors, collaborating through weekly training sessions and clinical updates to ensure exceptional dermatology care. - Utilise clinical judgement to review patient’s skin and hair consultations and prescribe appropriate treatments. - Engage in email and phone consultations with patients, advising on treatment changes, answering queries and managing side effects. - Participate in weekly training sessions and receive ongoing support from senior clinicians. - Receive comprehensive training on all dermatology pathways during your onboarding period. Qualifications - Current GPhC Registration: Essential with a minimum of 4 years experience as a pharmacist. - Independent Prescribing Qualification: At least 2 years of experience. - Dermatology Experience: Previous work experience or professional qualification in dermatology essential. - Flexibility: Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, delivering both synchronous and asynchronous prescribing with confidence, while consistently meeting time-based metrics and achieving service level agreements. - Communication Skills: Excellent audio/visual communication skills whilst communicating with compassion and care via email and phone calls. - Technology competence: Passion for health technology and the ability to use multiple systems. Requirements - Part-Time: 20 hours per week (4 hours per day 5 days a week or 5 hours per day 4 days per week, one day must be on the weekend). Set weekly working hours. - Remote Work: Fully remote. - Onboarding: Preferably full-time (37.5 hours) for the first two weeks before transitioning to standard hours.
