Cracker Barrel
Role Description Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new features for the Cracker Barrel mobile application. - Work closely with designers to ensure that the user interface and experience align with Cracker Barrel's brand identity and standards. - Develop and maintain the overall architecture of mobile applications, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and high-performing. - Collaborate with backend teams to design and integrate with external APIs/data sources to provide dynamic functionality within the app. - Provide technical guidance to development teams, mentoring and supporting engineers in best practices for mobile development. - Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. - Assess and recommend mobile frameworks, tools, and platforms for cross-platform development (e.g., React Native, Flutter). - Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. - Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. - Identify and correct bottlenecks and implement strategies for optimization, focusing on both frontend and backend components. - Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. - Continuously monitor app performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of Mobile Architect experience. - Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services. - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of modern Android and iOS architectural patterns. - Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications. - Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines. - Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. - Proficiency in mobile programming languages (Swift, Kotlin, Java, JavaScript). - Experience with cross-platform development frameworks (React Native, Flutter, Xamarin). - Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend integration. - Familiarity with mobile security best practices.
